I measured the ratio of ice to open water in the region which alarmists have been hysterically describing as an open hole in the ice. Besides the fact that there is no indication of melt, the concentration of the ice in the satellite photo below is actually greater than 90%.

The ice there has been spread out by persistent cold north winds, is covered with fresh snow, and shows no indication of melt. Any melting which occurred at the latitude would have to happen in the next 4-5 weeks, and it would require southerly winds which would compact the ice to higher concentrations, making their “giant hole” disappear.

Here in the Front Range of Colorado, we have had about average temperatures this weekend – with lots of rain.
The Greenland ice sheet averages about one metre of snowfall per year.
Last year, NASA got hysterical over a 150 year event – where a few snowflakes on the surface got rounded edges from 2C temperatures for a couple of hours.
Then these geniuses try to claim that the ice sheet is losing mass.
