“It feels like the end of the world right now,” said Nats pitcher and Miami native Gio Gonzalez. “The way it’s feeling, it’s crazy. When you get this kind of element, you go from sunny Florida to the fact it’s freezing right now.”

NELSON, Ga. — Every homeowner in a local town could soon have to own a gun or break the law. It’s a controversial new plan for the city of Nelson.  Leaders told Channel 2’s John Bachman the reason they need the law is because the city straddles Cherokee county to the south and Pickens County to the north.

Snow is so scarce today that most Virginia children probably don’t own a sled. But neighbors came to our home at Hickory Hill nearly every winter weekend to ride saucers and Flexible Flyers.

In those days, I recall my uncle, President Kennedy, standing erect as he rode a toboggan in his top coat, never faltering until he slid into the boxwood at the bottom of the hill. Once, my father, Atty. Gen. Robert Kennedy, brought a delegation of visiting Eskimos home from the Justice Department for lunch at our house. They spent the afternoon building a great igloo in the deep snow in our backyard. My brothers and sisters played in the structure for several weeks before it began to melt.

Virginia snowfall has been increasing for the past 90 years.

In a few months, there will have been no global warming for the majority of the satellite era temperature record.

Republican Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert introduced an amendment to the Continuing Resolution that would not provide the White House with any taxpayer funds to transport President Barack Obama to and from any golf course until they resume White House public tours.

In a House floor speech, Gohmert said he filed the amendment with the House Rules Committee.

“None of the funds made available by a division of this act may be used to transport the president to or from a golf course until public tours of the White House resume,” the amendment reads.

“That way we will both work together so the president will not able to take a golf outing that causes 341 more federal officials to be furloughed and lose their job at least temporarily,” Gohmert said.

In the absence of a formal federal budget, Congress has to pass a Continuing Resolution to fund the government for the rest of the fiscal year.

Obama’s recent golf trip with Tiger Woods reportedly cost almost $1 million in taxpayer funds.

Hansen admits that he is intentionally influencing the data to generate desired results.

The hardest part is trying to influence the nature of the measurements obtained, so that the key information can be obtained

Here is some of his handiwork, influencing the historical measurements.

Hansen may have succeeded in doing what Hitler failed to do – bring England to her knees.

In 1988, the year global warming made its entrance into politics, Margaret Thatcher declared that mankind had unwittingly been carrying out a massive experiment with the planet, in which the burning of fossil fuels would produce greenhouse gases, leading to higher global temperatures. The results of this experiment remain an open question. As Rajendra Pachauri, head of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, acknowledged last month, there has been a 17-year pause in the rise of average global temperatures.

Of more immediate consequence to British families is that the UK has embarked on perhaps the most aggressive political experiment attempted in peacetime – gradually outlawing the use of fossil fuels, which we have relied on since the Industrial Revolution, as our principal source of energy. The results are already evident. Two weeks ago, Alistair Buchanan, chief executive of Ofgem, warned of rising energy bills, and questioned whether Britain would be able to keep the lights on. When there is a glut of natural gas in the US and coal prices are plunging in Europe, this country faces a green energy crunch as it attempts to decarbonise its economy.
