“East Perthshire and Highland Perthshire are among the most scenic and beautiful parts of Scotland and many visitors come to our area to see unspoiled landscape.

“This is now lost due to unwanted wind farm developments. Wind farm companies and supporters must realise that massive wind farms are ruining our landscape with these turbines and damaging our local economy.”

Mr Fraser voiced his fears that the tourism industry in the area could be damaged by the blight of turbines and made an impassioned plea for a review of the planning system.

He believes it should be looked at urgently as all three developments in Perthshire have been opposed by both communities and the local council.

“I do not want to see the beauty of Highland Perthshire sacrificed with massive wind turbines staked into the landscape, which can be seen for miles across Perthshire,” he added.

“Scotland’s planning system for wind farm applications and the decision-making process is in a complete mess.

Apparently he was too busy during the weeks before the election to take care of that sea level problem they had on  Staten Island. He should have left a note on the fridge with instructions for the girls.

Manhattan has been steadily sinking since the end of the last ice age. During the ice age, the weight of glaciers in Canada depressed the mantle, forcing the mantle to bulge around the edges of the ice sheet. (Think of poking your finger into the side of a water balloon.) When the glaciers melted, the mantle stress relaxed , and the northeastern US began to sink. (Think of removing your finger from the water balloon.) Tide gauges show a steady 4mm/year of sinking around Manhattan and New Jersey, over the last 150 years.

Central Park is 40 metres above sea level, and will be underwater in 10,000 years – unless we have another ice age, in which case it may be buried in ice. Whatever happens, it has nothing to do with CO2 or fossil fuel – and there is nothing we can do about it.

Engineers in industry know that their continued employment depends on being brutally honest and accurate. When engineering fails, there is no place to hide.

Scientist’s employment has different challenges. They have to convince politicians that they should receive money for their research. The easiest way to do this is by hypothesizing about future potential disasters. The global warming gravy train has been the most reliable ever, and honesty and accuracy got crushed on the tracks sometime around the year 2000.

The vast majority of “climate change scientists” have no marketable or useful skills. For people in that position, honesty and accuracy are irrelevant. It is all about survival of their pay check, not survival of the planet.

I write this blog because I am a scientist/engineer who is no longer dependent of science funding for my livelihood, and I have never seen such a bunch of horseshit as this global warming scam in my life. I was a true believer in global warming for 30 years – until I actually delved into looking at the data for myself.

When scientists fail spectacularly, they get tenure, wide acclaim, a possible Nobel Prize, and perhaps even a well paid position at the White House.

The 1950s musical White Christmas is about a group of WWII veterans unhappy about 70 degree weather in Vermont on Christmas Eve. They were dreaming of a White Christmas, and planning to help out their WWII general.

Fast forward to 2011 in Vermont. Instead of army heroes singing, we have Bill McKibben frantically twitting that the warm weather requires that we give up everything the WWII soldiers fought for.

In 1969, the consensus of scientists delivered an uplifting Thanksgiving message to all the peoples of the world – “Earth to be destroyed in the year 2000.”

Ninety-seven percent of climate scientists have their heads up their asses. We have vast amounts of historical data concerning the weather when CO2 was below 350 ppm, and it was no better than today.
