This Is Not The Atmosphere I Grew Up With

In 2011, Jeff Masters told us that global warming meant more snow and cold for the US.

Global warming means more snowstorms: scientists

Last winter, Jeff Masters told us that the lack of snow and the warm temperatures in the US were a sure sign of global warming. He famously stated – “This is not the atmosphere I grew up with”

Jeff Masters, founder of Weather Underground, the web’s go-to site for meteorological information, watched an eerie early morning outside his Michigan home and wrote, “This is not the atmosphere I grew up with,”

A huge cold blast is headed to the US this week, which will once again prove global warming, because all US weather now undeniably proves global warming.

Exciting Time Of The Month Coming Up

In a few days, USHCN will release their temperature data for September.

It appears that NOAA made a decision in March, that 2012 was going to be hottest year ever in the US – regardless of the weather for the rest of the year. This decision has forced USHCN to upwards adjust YTD 2012 temperatures by more than three degrees relative to a century ago.

September was another cool month, and this will force USHCN to upwards adjust by even more. I am thinking that USHCN may ultimately have to upwards adjusted 2012 by as much as five degrees in order to achieve NOAA’s requirement of hottest year ever.

Khrushchev would be proud.

What Does Antarctic Ice Growth Tell Us?

  1. Temperatures are getting colder
  2. Polar amplification theory is a joke
  3. Alarmists have their heads firmly planted where the sun never shines

Sunday, 2 May 2004

Antarctica is likely to be the world’s only habitable continent by the end of this century if global warming remains unchecked, the Government’s chief scientist, Professor Sir David King, said last week.

Antarctica is likely to be the world’s only habitable continent by the end of this century if global warming remains unchecked, the Government’s chief scientist, Professor Sir David King, said last week.

He said the Earth was entering the “first hot period” for 60 million years, when there was no ice on the planet and “the rest of the globe could not sustain human life”. The warning – one of the starkest delivered by a top scientist – comes as ministers decide next week whether to weaken measures to cut the pollution that causes climate change, even though Tony Blair last week described the situation as “very, very critical indeed”.

Antarctic Sea Ice Grows By The Size Of Texas Since 1979

Hansen predicted peak ice loss in Antarctica, and it has done the exact opposite.

The Hansen 2012 Super El Nino

Every year, Hansen forecasts a super El Nino – in hopes of getting temperatures up to his zero emissions scenario C.

Temperatures have dropped below normal along most of the east Pacific equator. El Nino is dead.

Melted Arctic And Overheated Atmosphere Produce Record Cold

All of the cold air is gone from the Arctic, and the atmosphere has completely overheated. This is causing near record cold air to pour into the US.

Monbiot Believes That Debate Kills Democracy

Monbiot believes that the only way to save democracy is to silence any opposition.

A rightwing insurrection is usurping our democracy For 30 years big business, neoliberal thinktanks and the media have colluded to capture our political system. They’re winning

……..

I see these people as rightwing vanguardists, mobilising first to break and then to capture a political system that is meant to belong to all of us. Like Marxist insurrectionaries, they often talk about smashing things, about “creative destruction”, about the breaking of chains and the slipping of leashes. But in this case they appear to be trying to free the rich from the constraints of democracy. And at the moment they are winning.

The Team Has A Good Point

The fact that Antarctic sea ice extends further from the pole than at any other time since the start of satellite records, doesn’t mean that glacial ice isn’t melting at -119F in the interior.

As John Cook might explain, ice cubes now melt from the inside out – due to CO2 altering the fundamental laws of physics.
