Visualizing The Greenland Meltdown

NASA – Satellites See Unprecedented Greenland Ice Sheet Surface Melt

NASA recently told us that the entire Greenland ice sheet melted and turned red hot, right as a big snowstorm set in. The storm has cleared and we can plainly see that the ice indeed melted away at -19C.

In NASA speak, unprecedented means happens every 152 years right on schedule.

The NOAA/Hansen Effect Sets In

Last week, NOAA and Hansen told us that the heat in the eastern US could only be caused by a climate heating out of control. Two days later, record cold set in over the eastern US.

What Part Of “The Dust Bowl Ended” Does Eugene Robinson Not Understand?

Global warming is here to stay

BY EUGENE ROBINSON

Excuse me, folks, but the weather is trying to tell us something. Listen carefully, and you can almost hear a parched, raspy voice whispering, “What part of ‘hottest month ever’ do you people not understand?”

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, July was indeed the hottest month in the contiguous United States since record-keeping began more than a century ago. That distinction was previously held by July 1936, which came at the height of the Dust Bowl calamity that devastated the American heartland.

Eugene sounds like an hysterical teenage girl on the whacky weed. Does Eugene know that February 1936 was the coldest month in US history?

Temperatures have already plummeted to well below normal, Eugene. The only thing that is here to stay is your neurotic fear and cluelessness.

Stupidest Comment of the Week

Someone suggested earlier that GHCN could eliminate a CRU heatwave by using a different baseline, and that I was a liar for not admitting this.

Perhaps the thousands of people who died in the 1936 heatwave could be brought back to life -simply by Hansen adjusting the temperature..

Why Talking About An Ice Free Arctic is Just Plain Stupidity

Temperatures have dropped below freezing north of 80N for the winter

COI | Centre for Ocean and Ice | Danmarks Meteorologiske Institut

And most of the Arctic Basin is covered with ice, much of it 3-5 metres thick.

Summer is too short to produce an ice-free Arctic – without a radical change in climate.

Talk about an ice-free Arctic should be discussed in supermarket tabloids, not scientific publications.

Growth Of Thick Ice Along The Canadian Coast Since 2010

The Guardian claimed today that the ice is getting thinner along the Canadian and Greenland coast, but as usual they have no idea what they are talking about.

There is a lot more 3+ metre thick ice than there was two years ago, when David Barber declared that all the multiyear ice was gone.
