The Only Thing That Will Stop Global Warming Is A Massive Economic Downturn

A new report from the University of Michigan starts off its press release with a not so optimistic phrase: “It’s a message no one wants to hear.”

Just what message is this?

That it would take an extreme economic downturn to slow the effects of global warming.

The research conducted by José Tapia Granados and Edward Ionides of U-M and Óscar Carpintero of the University of Valladolid in Spain is considered the first to assess fluctuations in carbon dioxide based on measurable levels, instead of less accurate carbon emission estimates.

This drought may never break

IT MAY be time to stop describing south-eastern Australia as gripped by drought and instead accept the extreme dry as permanent, one of the nation’s most senior weather experts warned yesterday.

Louisiana is frequently noted for having the fastest sea level rise in the world, as measured by tide gauges.

Only problem is, sea level isn’t rising in Louisiana. Satellites show no rise over the last decade. Lousiana is sinking into the sea, and the tide gauges are going down with it.

Climate alarmists believe that earth’s climate history began in 1970, and also believe that species are unable to survive the natural selection process outlined by Darwin.

Creationists believe that earth history began 7,000 years ago – much earlier than the date normally used by Dessler and Hayhoe.

It would seem that climate alarmists are vastly more ignorant than creationists – in that they don’t even understand the core principles of what they claim to believe.

All that is left is vote out the corrupt government leaders who are propping the scam up.

Global warming matters little to Australians, survey finds

The big issues for Australians are not global warming, the rise of China or the loss of biodiversity but the quality of the food they eat, the availability of health care and how safe it is to walk the streets, research released Monday showed.

“These results present a picture of a relatively conservative society intensely concerned with day-to-day issues,” the University of Technology Sydney’s Timothy Devinney said of his findings.

The What Matters to Australians research, co-produced with the Melbourne Business School, matches similar studies in the United States, Britain and Germany.

The German report will be launched in Hamburg in September.

“The consistency across countries is pretty high,” Devinney said.

What mattered to the young was very similar to what mattered to the old and there was consistency in the responses of the rich and the poor.
