Manhattan Already Drowned!

Sea level has already risen over nine metres, and rising almost 1 cm/year!

During the last few years, curiosity about the climate turned to anxious concern as politicians began ushering in the topic of global warming for campaign platforms.

“Not only this, but taken together, the world appears to have been warmer when compared to preindustrial temperatures,” said Dr. Chris Turney from the Department of Geography at the University of Exeter.

“Critically, the warmer temperatures appear to have resulted in global sea levels some 6.6 to 9.4 meters higher with a rate of rise of between 6 to 9 centimeters per decade. This is more than double that recently observed.”

Every Taxpayer Should Chip In $120K

We could pay off the debt, and then Obama could go back to giving trillions of taxpayer money away to his banker and union friends.

He managed to accumulate almost $6 trillion in debt in only three years, and deserves the opportunity to do that again.

Big Bachmann Bashing Bash

The papers are in full force today saying that migraines incapacitate her for several days every week. (That would put her ahead of Obama, who is emotionally incapacitated every day of every week.)

Seeing as how a presidential campaign is 24×7 for the next 16 months, we will probably notice if she is gone several days a week.

Another claim is that she said “we are in the last days.” She must have been listening to media heroes Al Gore or James Hansen, who say that same thing every day.

1000 Days Of Reality

Al Gore says that unprecedented extreme weather is the “new normal.”

“24 Hours of Reality will focus the world’s attention on the full truth, scope, scale and impact of the climate crisis. To remove the doubt. Reveal the deniers. And catalyze urgency around an issue that affects every one of us.”

It has been well over 1000 days since the most extreme form of weather hit the US, a hurricane. It has been almost twenty years since a category five hurricane hit the US.

Here is what denier James Hansen said :

What’s happening to our climate? Was the heat wave and drought in the Eastern United States in 1999 a sign of global warming?

Empirical evidence does not lend much support to the notion that climate is headed precipitately toward more extreme heat and drought. The drought of 1999 covered a smaller area than the 1988 drought, when the Mississippi almost dried up. And 1988 was a temporary inconvenience as compared with repeated droughts during the 1930s “Dust Bowl” that caused an exodus from the prairies, as chronicled in Steinbeck’s Grapes of Wrath.

Drudge Continues To Confuse “Heat Index” With “Temperature”

No, it isn’t 112 degrees in Minnesota.

As Jeff Masters would explain it, global warming has changed the saturation vapor pressure of water in the atmosphere, and we can now get up to 120% relative humidity. Maybe even 300% relative humidity.

Oceans Heating Up

At Fred’s talk last night, alarmists kept remarking that the oceans have been heating steadily for decades. As you can see, some parts have heated all the way up to an anomaly of minus four degrees.
