Progressive MSM Now Has Two Witches To Burn

Palin and Bachmann are turning them all into newts. All of the evil in the world is due to these two women.

“I am very serious about what I want to do,” Bachmann said on “Fox News Sunday,” adding that voters were impressed with her recent New Hampshire debate appearance. “People recognize that I’m serious.”

But host Chris Wallace pushed Bachmann on her history of making controversial statements and asked whether she was ready to be a national candidate.

“Are you a flake?” Wallace asked

“That would be insulting to say something like that,” responded Bachmann, pointing to her legislative and professional record. “Of course, a person has to be careful with what their words are. And now I will have an opportunity to speak fully.”

Support For “Climate Action” Crashing In Oz

New research shows support for taking action on climate change is slipping.

The Lowy Institute’s annual poll asked about 1,000 people for their opinions on a range of topics, including climate change and the war in Afghanistan.

The poll shows that there has been a steep fall in the number of Australians who think climate change is a serious problem which needs addressing now.

It says 41 per cent of respondents want to see action even if it means a significant cost, down 27 percentage points since 2006.

Thirty-nine per cent of poll respondents said they would not be willing to pay anything extra on their electricity bill to help tackle climate change.

Even if you believed the models, the climate impact of sending Australia back to the stone age is essentially zero.

Global Warming Expected To Increase The Intensity Of Cattle Rustling Deaths In Kenya

Last week, Prime Minister Raila Odinga got it right when he said climate change may be the biggest challenge to the country’s economic development in coming years.

Unfortunately, despite this realisation, there is no evidence that much is being done apart from the formation of taskforces, workshops and stakeholders’ meetings.

Meanwhile, catastrophic episodes continue to visit Kenya especially among pastoral communities and the urban poor.

This weekend alone, 10 Kenyans were reported to have lost their lives to cattle rustlers in Samburu, with similar deaths being reported in other arid lands in the recent past.

Such conflicts are expected to increase in frequency as well as in intensity.

NPR : Texas Ice House Meltdown

Texas Icehouses Melt Away

Texas Icehouses. Part town hall, part tavern, icehouses have been a South Texas tradition since the 1920s. Before refrigeration, icehouses stored and distributed block ice for the neighborhood iceboxes.

Over time, they diversified— iced beer, a little food, maybe some groceries — a cool, air-conditioned spot where neighbors and families come to sit, talk, play dominoes, turn up the juke box, maybe eat some chicken wings, dance on the slab outside. No two are alike — Sanchez’, Acapulco, Dos Hermanas, Stanley’s, La Tuna, The Beer Depot, The Texan.

Once a vital part of everyday local culture — a cornerstone of every neighborhood in San Antonio and Houston — they are rapidly diminishing, an endangered species.

Clowns Or Criminals?

The EPA climate change web site uses this imagery as evidence of “climate change.”

http://www.epa.gov/climatechange/indicators/pdfs/CI-snow-and-ice.pdf

What they aren’t showing is that more than 80% of the glacier’s documented retreat occurred before 1940, and that between 1794 and 1879, the glacier retreated eight feet per day.

This obviously has nothing to do with CO2, and it is either fraudulent or negligent for the EPA to infer that it does.

How Much Climate Change Is Due To Climate Change?

In order to determine the effects of climate change, we have to know how much the climate would have changed had it not been for climate change. Our trillion dollar supercomputer is busy modeling climate change – with and without the influence of climate change.

Once we know how much climate change has affected climate change, we can simply subtract climate change w/o climate change from climate change with climate change. and the difference is the amount of climate change.

We can’t say for sure that climate change is due to climate change. but we can say that we expected climate change to cause changes to the climate.
