Why It Is OK To Lie About Global Warming Evidence

The physical records may not support global warming theory – yet.

But later they will, and those in positions of responsibility have a moral imperative to keep public awareness alive – even if it means fabricating or intentionally misinterpreting data.

Remember, any period of time where trends go in the direction you expect is evidence for AGW. Even if the evidence is a single hot afternoon in Los Angeles in the middle of a record cold summer.

We all know that during the last decade of this century, sea level will drown everyone who hasn’t already died from heat prostration.

Sea Level Rise Threatens Boulder Campus

Our leading sea level scamsters insist that sea level is rising at 3+mm/year and that it has accelerated since 1993. This obviously isn’t true, but facts never slow down the AGW gravy train.

Our analyses do not indicate acceleration in sea level in U.S. tide gauge records during the 20th century. Instead, for each time period we consider, the records show small decelerations that are consistent with a number of earlier studies of worldwide-gauge records. The decelerations that we obtain are opposite in sign and one to two orders of magnitude less than the +0.07 to +0.28 mm/y² accelerations that are required to reach sea levels predicted for 2100 by Vermeer and Rahmsdorf (2009), Jevrejeva, Moore, and Grinsted (2010), and Grinsted, Moore, and Jevrejeva (2010). Bindoff et al. (2007) note an increase in worldwide temperature from 1906 to 2005 of 0.74uC. It is essential that investigations continue to address why this worldwide-temperature increase has not produced acceleration of global  sea level over the past 100 years, and indeed why global sea level has possibly decelerated for at least the last 80 years.

CO2 Bubble Persisted In July, 1935

http://docs.lib.noaa.gov/rescue/mwr/063/mwr-063-07-c1.pdf

It is well known that 2010 was the hottest year ever for the universe as a whole, but a CO2 anomaly sitting over the US made the 1930s the hottest decade.

Disclaimer : The US makes up a relatively small percentage of the universe. If global warming stupidity persists for more than three hours, see your doctor.

1975 : Scientist Predicted An Earthquake In Hollister, CA

I got a kick out of this story. Hollister is known as “the earthquake capital of the world.” They get dozens of earthquakes every day.

The hundred or so geologists and seismologists who turned up for the informal monthly meeting of California’s Pick and Hammer Club expected an evening of socializing and routine gossip about faults, core samples and volcanoes. Instead, they heard scientific history in the making. As part of his work for the U.S. Geological Survey’s Earthquake Research Center, Seismologist Malcolm Johnston had just finished analyzing data from seven monitoring stations set up along the San Andreas Fault in the quake-prone Hollister area. His figures, Johnston told his colleagues, showed that the strength of the local magnetic field had suddenly risen between two of the stations, then gradually subsided over a period of one week. Furthermore, the surface of the earth in the same area had undergone slight but noticeable changes in tilt. Those changes, he said, were just “the sort one would expect to see before a quake.” John Healy, another USGS scientist, was even more emphatic. Johnston’s data, he said, left little doubt that Hollister could expect a moderate earthquake of up to magnitude 5 on the Richter scale.* When? “Maybe tomorrow,” said Healy.

The next afternoon, Nov. 28, 1974, while residents of Hollister were sitting down to their Thanksgiving Day dinners, the earth began to sway and rumble beneath them. The brief 1-to 2-sec. quake measured 5.2 magnitude and did little damage.

May Was Cold In The US

http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/

Our friends have been blaming the severe weather in May on warm air from global warming. This is a brilliant theory, except that it was the 25th coldest May on record in the US.

Unfortunately, many climate experts lack access to the Internet and can’t look these things up themselves. The UN has a fund to provide computers for underprivileged climate experts.
