Below are the HadCRUT graphs for Texas and Wisconsin.

Texas since the 1870s.
Wisconsin since 1850.
Why do climate scientists keep spreading misinformation?
Rising temperatures could have a devastating impact on Wisconsin’s economy over the next decades, from a shrinkage in agricultural production to a meltdown of the American Birkebeiner ski marathon, according to a national report pegged to Earth Week.
In fact, the report predicts winter temperatures here will rise 6 to 11 degrees Fahrenheit by the end of the century, with summer temps climbing 8 to 18 degrees higher.
Once they get started lying, they just can’t turn it off. Neither winter nor summer temperatures in Wisconsin show any meaningful trend.
Many scientists are concerned that plant and animal species may face extinction due to global warming, but biologists at Washington University in St. Louis are trying to predict exactly what will happen to them. Which species will migrate? Which evolve? Which change their behavior? Which become extinct?
Rather than peer into the future, they are looking backward, exploring how species alive today survived global warming at the end of the Pleistocene and asking whether their responses provide any guidance for us today.
If your electrician tells you that there is a 30 percent risk that your house will set on fire if you do not change your cables, would you call another electrician? If the next electrician confirms the 30 percent risk, would you hire a third, fourth or fifth electrician in the hope of finding one who would reject the risk? Imagine that you talked to 100 electricians — 97 recommend that you should change the cables, three reject the risk of fire — who would you listen to? My guess is that you would change the cables immediately.
When it comes to climate change the picture is completely upside down. Regardless of the fact that 97 percent of the world’s leading climate scientists agree that human-caused global warming is real, several journalists, experts and politicians still continue to question the reality and the seriousness of global warming. They continue to question the 97 percent of the climate scientists’ findings, motives, and recommendations — as if they are teamed up in the greatest scientific plot in history.
It is absurd to accuse 97 percent of the leading climate scientists of wanting to scheme against the entire world. It is absurd to accuse 97 percent of the leading scientists to believe in climate change to promote their personal careers or for profit. It is even more absurd that these accusations are put forward by leading media and politicians.

Texas fires push climate change hot buttons
“By now, most people get that you can’t attribute any single weather event on global warming,” said John Nielsen-Gammon, the Texas state climatologist and a professor at Texas A&M University.
Short-term weather, even over months, is too variable to show a trend. Track weather decades, however, and trends emerge, but not always the ones people expect.
“But some things are clear: Temperatures have been going up, and models all agree that the temperature rise will continue unless we get some massive volcanic eruptions or the sun suddenly becomes much dimmer,” he said.
Temperatures aren’t going up in Texas.
