1840 Tornado Killed Over 300 People In Mississippi
This seem impossible, because CO2 was just too low to have violent weather. Hansen tells us that the climate is stable below 350 ppm.
THE MOST NOTORIOUS TORNADO IN MISSISSIPPI HISTORY IS THE NATCHEZ TORNADO OF MAY 7, 1840. THIS TORNADO STARTED ACROSS THE RIVER IN CONCORDIA
PARISH, LA, AND MOVED UP THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER, KILLING HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE ON BOATS AND BARGES BEFORE KILLING SEVERAL DOZEN MORE IN NATCHEZ ITSELF. AT LEAST 317 PEOPLE WERE KILLED BY THIS TORNADO, MAKING IT THE SECOND DEADLIEST TORNADO IN UNITED STATES HISTORY.

No Trilobite Left Behind
Charles Darwin taught us that survival belongs to those individuals who pretend that they can stabilize their environment in a state which they imagine it used to be like. Another competitive advantage is harboring a belief system that nothing used to change prior to 30 years ago.
The key to evolution and natural selection is to make sure that nothing ever changes, and that all individuals compete cooperate at the lowest common denominator.
Another of Darwin’s theories states that natural selection favours the most neurotic individuals in a society. Being deathly afraid of change guarantees survival.

Consider The Plight Of The Pika
Over the course of the last eighty generations of Pikas, temperatures have warmed half a degree. Our CO2 emissions are forcing future generations of Pikas to pack up all their twigs and move 100 ft up to higher ground under a different rock.
Have you no conscience? Imagine the horror these poor creatures face.

Obama’s Energy Czar Joins Romm
- Recession is when your neighbor loses his job.
- Depression is when you lose your job.
- Recovery is when Obama loses his job.
President Barack Obama’s former top aide on energy and climate change is heading to the Center for American Progress.
Carol Browner, who was director of the White House Office of Energy and Climate Change Policy, has joined the Center as a “Distinguished Senior Fellow,” the group said Wednesday.
“Carol Browner is an extraordinary public servant and CAP will benefit tremendously from her vision and experience,” said John Podesta, the center’s president. “She understands the intersections of how policy interacts with politics and how government helps shape strong markets for investment and innovation. Having that sense of integration is key to understanding how to improve the lives of the American people, which is central to the mission of CAP.”
As Mr. Obama’s “energy czar” from 2009 until earlier this year, Ms. Browner helped broker a historic agreement in 2009, in which the auto industry and California patched up their differences and agreed to accept tougher fuel economy standards as well as federal standards governing automobile greenhouse-gas emissions. Her effort to persuade the U.S. Senate to pass legislation limiting industrial emissions of such gases didn’t go as well.
