GISS Still Below Scenario C

Even with GISS’ wildly bloated March numbers, they are still below scenario C – both for trend and latest readings.

scenario C assumes a rapid curtailment of trace gas emissions such that the net climate forcing ceases to increase after the year 2000.”

Brisbane Floods Controlled By La Nina

Brisbane’s worst floods since 1950 (1955, 1974 and 2011) all occurred during peak La Nina periods. They have no correlation with CO2.

ENSO Controls The Climate, Not CO2

The graph above shows the five year lagging average of ENSO (blue/red) vs. HadCRUT yearly temperatures (green.)

ENSO turned strongly positive in the late 1970s, and temperatures started rising. ENSO dropped after the 1998 El Nino, and temperatures quit rising.

Also note that satellites began measuring ice, right when ENSO turned positive in the late 1970s. Most of the older ice was lost between 1988 and 1996, when ENSO was at its peak.

The vast majority of the 5+ year old ice blew out of the Arctic between 1988 and 1996.

Isn’t it time to end this CO2 fairy tale?

Hiding The La Nina At GISS

Incredibly, GISS has higher temperature anomalies now than they did in the middle of last year’s El Nino summer. (Temperatures lag ENSO by several months.)

Since last summer, GISS has been diverging from satellite data at a rate of over 50C per century. Hansen claimed a record last year by 0.01C – with an error 500X times greater than his claim.

Since 2000, GISS has been diverging from HadCRUT at a rate of 1C per century

Each month, Hansen keeps bumping the Arctic (where he has almost no data) further and further into fantasy land. How long will this game go on?

Muller claims the surface temperature record is golden. Has he checked the non-existent Arctic data which keep driving GISS temperatures upwards – while the world cools?

2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 0

Last year was the hottest year ever. This past winter was the hottest winter ever in the Arctic. Arctic ice has the lowest volume and is the thinnest on record. Sea ice extent is lowest on record. All of these declarations have been made by government experts.

If they were telling the truth, then NSIDC’s April report couldn’t possibly be true.

This year the older, thicker ice has increased somewhat over last year

GISS US March Temperatures Are A Joke

GISS shows all of the US above normal in March.

NOAA  shows about half the US normal to below normal, with portions of Montana and neighboring states ten degrees below normal. How on Earth did Hansen miss that? Ten degrees is a rather remarkable error.

GISS Completely Loses The Plot In March

Hansen thinks most of Greenland was hot in March. 2-10C above normal.

RSS (which actually has data in Greenland) shows March very cold. 2-4C below normal.

Where did Hansen get his numbers from? His computer model made them up. He has very few thermometer readings in Greenland, and none in the interior where temperatures were 4C below normal.

GISS has become the Soviet Pravda of government science.

Met Office Reduces The Length Of Spring To Two Weeks.

The Daily Telegraph have today reported that this April is currently heading toward being the warmest spring on record

We are less than two weeks into April. Spring is twelve weeks long. WTF are they talking about?

How About A Random Number Generator?

An app which just makes up numbers would be right more often than many prominent climate scientists.

UN Offers $10,000 Prize For Best Climate Change App

Now creating a great app won’t exactly stop global warming–unless perhaps it manages to convince governments and corporations to get off their collective arses and actually do something meaningful about greenhouse gas emissions–but $10,000 is what the UN’s International Telecommunication Union is offering. Sponsored by Research In Motion and Telefónica, the contest hopes to take climate-related apps beyond carbon footprinting and help them “move to the next stage”.
