Ice Ages Explained

Jeff Masters unveiled some important new research this week explaining that snow cover in the deep south was due to warming temperatures. Apparently Mobile, Alabama was simply too cold to receive snow prior to last year.

Extending this logic, we can infer that temperatures were much too cold to snow during the ice age, and that snow and ice cover must have expanded as snow and ice cover retreated beginning 20,000 years ago. This seems counterintuitive, but Nobel Prize winner Al Gore tells us to suspend any pretense of reason. You simply aren’t qualified to understand these difficult concepts.

“Back off man – I’m a scientist”

You can also note from the ice cores that temperature was able to  forecast future changes in CO2, and jumped out ahead of the CO2 curve. This led to additional feedback – when CO2 was contemplating rising, temperature said “no way – I am going to rise several hundred years before you do.” Gossip spreads quickly in the world of CO2 interactions.

Again, this seems counterintuitive, but Laurie David solved the problem in her children’s propaganda textbook – by simply reversing the relationship between CO2 and temperature.

While it may be true that almost all of the information behind the global warming scam is manipulated, incorrect or fraudulent, that doesn’t mean that it isn’t really happening.

EPA Forecast : Declining Spring Snow Cover In Idaho

Northwest:

  • Salmon and other coldwater species will experience additional stresses as a result of rising water temperatures and declining summer streamflows.
  • Sea-level rise along vulnerable coastlines will result in increased erosion and the loss of land.
  • Declining springtime snowpack leads to reduced summer streamflows, straining water supplies.
  • Increased insect outbreaks, wildfires, and changing species composition in forests will pose challenges for ecosystems and the forest products industry.

Idaho got 200 cm of declining snow this week.

EPA Warns Of Declining Snow Cover, Rising Sea Level, And Blistering Heat In New England

http://www.epa.gov/climatechange/effects/usregions.html

Northeast:

  • Extreme heat and declining air quality are likely to pose increasing problems for human health, especially in urban areas.
  • Agricultural production, including dairy, fruit, and maple syrup, are likely to be adversely affected as favorable climates shift.
  • Severe flooding due to sea-level rise and heavy downpours is likely to occur more frequently.
  • The center of lobster fisheries is projected to continue its northward shift and the cod fishery on Georges Bank is likely to be diminished.
  • The projected reduction in snow cover will adversely affect winter recreation and the industries that rely upon it.

I’m planning on being in Connecticut for another week. The snow is still two feet deep, but temperatures are supposed slip up above freezing sometime this weekend – before the next snow storm hits on Monday.

Idaho Gets 200 cm Of Snow In One Week

LOOKOUT PASS, Idaho — Mother Nature dumped record snow on Lookout Pass.  The area took the record for the most snowfall worldwide within the past week.

The resort tallied up six and a half feet of fresh snowfall within seven days.

Temperatures in Idaho were far below normal during the period. Record snow and cold is considered by climate experts to be indicative of trapped heat warming the planet up.

Thing Of The Past : Winter 2010-2011 Was The Third Snowiest On Record In The Northern Hemisphere

Three of the four snowiest Northern Hemisphere winters since 1967 have been in the last four years. Four of the five snowiest winters have been since CRU experts told us that children won’t know what snow is.

This has coincided with plummeting winter temperatures. Over the last decade, US winter temperatures have been falling at a rate of more than 40 degrees per century.

“The Proof Is Everywhere”

It never used to rain and snow and stuff like that before man invented CO2. It is like WWIII dude. Build a bomb shelter to protect yourself. Nature has gone like totally haywire.

The proof is everywhere – outside my front door, in my neighborhood, on the news. After a decade of failure to address climate change at the national and international levels, our weather has gone haywire. In the Washington region alone, in barely a year, we’ve annihilated all records for snow accumulation, we’ve seen appalling power outages associated with year-round thunderstorms, and we’ve experienced the hottest summer in the 140 years we’ve been measuring. Winston Churchill’s oft-quoted warning on the eve of World War II now applies directly: “The era of procrastination, of half-measures, of soothing and baffling expedients, of delays, is coming to its close. In its place we are entering a period of consequences.”

Those consequences explain the generator in my garage and why I’m reinforcing my basement windows to protect emergency supplies.

This may seem like a stunt, or a sign that this frustrated environmentalist has finally lost it. But I’m not crazy. Just wait. The mega-storms and social disruptions on the horizon will be the best proof of that.

It wasn’t the wildfires that blackened much of Russia last summer that led me to buy my portable generator, nor the unspeakable rains in Pakistan that inundated nearly a quarter of that country. It was the one-two punch of thunderstorms that blew through the D.C. area on July 25 and Aug. 12 of last year. The first storm, with wind gusts of 90 mph, knocked out power to 400,000 people and generated a wave of lightning that, by a freak tragedy, killed my friend Carl Henn at a community picnic in Rockville.

Berkeley : Earth To Go Extinct

Scientists try to determine whether life on Earth is quickly heading toward extinction

Life on Earth is hurtling toward extinction levels comparable with those after the dinosaur-deleting asteroid impact of 65 million years ago, propelled forward by human activities, according to scientists from UC Berkeley.

This week, scientists announced that if current extinction rates continue unabated, and vulnerable species disappear, Earth could lose three-quarters of its species as soon as three centuries from now.

Climate Scientists Show Great Skill At Predicting Retroactively

This winter has seen a surfeit of heavy snowfall and harsh winter storms, drawing the conclusion in some corners that concern about climate change is overstated. However, extreme weather of the sort battering America this season is actually a predictable result of global warming, according to a panel of scientists in Washington. The climatologists argued on Tuesday that excess moisture is absorbed into the atmosphere when ocean water evaporates in warmer weather. This, in turn, causes more intense storms.

Snow and cold was predictable, but they just forgot to predict it – and accidentally predicted the opposite. When they said “snow is a thing of the past” they were completely FOS, but now they are reliable and we can trust everything they say to keep funding coming in.

Global Warming Killing Dolphins

MOBILE, Ala. — Cold water may have killed the dolphins washing up in Mississippi and Alabama, scientists with the Dauphin Island Sea Labsaid Wednesday.

They point to an apparent correlation between large pulses of chilly water that flowed into Mobile Bay during January and February and the subsequent discovery of dozens of stillborn dolphin calves in area waters.

Data on water temperature and river flows show periods in each month when bay waters dipped into the 40s for days at a time.
