Global Weirding Hits Colorado

After setting record lows last week, we set a record high yesterday. I blame both the bitter cold and yesterday’s Chinook down slope warming, on excess heat trapped in the atmosphere by emissions from your incandescent light bulb and pickup truck.

Some apologies are in order from you people who are not driving a Prius.

Time Magazine : British History Goes Back 40 Years

http://ecocentric.blogs.time.com/

So I followed their link to “some of the worst flooding in British history”

http://www.pupilvision.com/yeareleven/rivers1.htm

Apparently Time Magazine thinks British history began in 1970, which can’t be true. The Beatles and Rolling Stones were popular in the 1960s, so I can say for sure that England has been around since at least 1960.

Apparently the Guardian prefers strip mining coal at Black Mesa and burning it at the Navajo Generating Station.

Breaking News : Obama To Deliver Another iPod To St. James Park

Breaking news:
LATEST: Barack Obama and wife Michelle to make state visit to UK in May after accepting invitation from the queen, Buckingham Palace says. More details soon …

It will be the first state visit by a US leader since George Bush came to the UK in November 2003.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/

I was staying (by coincidence) in a B&B a couple of blocks away from the Palace in 2003 when Bush visited. The US press fabricated an amazing story at the time about mass demonstrations against Bush – like this one in Trafalgar Square.

CNN: 100,000 people in Trafalgar Square? ROFLMAO

I was at that demonstration in Trafalgar Square, which is of course too small to hold more than a couple of thousand people. It gave me a clear picture that I should never trust anything from CNN.

The big demonstration came later that week on Whitehall, when 500,000 people lined up to cheer the England rugby team after winning the World Cup in Australia.
