The oceans of the world have risen nearly seven inches since 1870, and over the last decade the pace of rise has doubled over earlier years.

I see this repeated over and over again. But there is no basis for it. Even the improperly calibrated satellite altimetry data shows sea level rise slowing down over the last five years.

So why doesn’t the climate science community rush to correct the misinformation? It is almost as if they have a stake in climate alarmism.
From The Globe and Mail
Copenhagen was not a political breakdown. It was an intellectual breakdown so astonishing that future generations will marvel at our blind credulity. Copenhagen was a classic case of the emperor with no clothes.
The biggest loser is the environmental movement. For years, its activists neglected almost everything but climate change. They behaved as if they’d cornered the market on wisdom, truth and certainty, and they demonized anyone who dared to disagree. They got a fabulous free ride from politicians and the media, who parroted their claims like Sunday-school children reciting Scripture. No interest group in modern times has been so free from skepticism, scrutiny or simple accountability as the environmental establishment.
Perhaps some good will emerge from the wreckage. (Humility, for example.) Now that global warming has stopped sucking all the oxygen out of the room, some of those who care about the planet will turn to other – and more pressing – problems. There are plenty.
Over the past month, the Met Office seems to have completely lost the plot.
28 October 2010 : WINTER TO BE MILD PREDICTS MET OFFICE
25 November 2010 : ?Dr Pope says the slowdown in temperature rise is consistent with projections from climate models.?
26 November 2010 : ?The world warme?d more rapidly than previously thought over the past decade

Where do these find these climate Cassandras?
We cannot gamble with the planet

Even the United Nations admits the Cancún meeting is unlikely to produce an international pact on how to deal with global warming. We should not allow international discord to persuade us that tackling climate change is impossible, however. Taking steps to curb carbon emissions is a reasonable premium for catastrophe insurance: we cannot gamble with the planet.
The risk of climate change is among the most complex collective challenges humanity confronts. It is not surprising there is no easy resolution. But progress has been made since the 1992 Rio Earth Summit. Then, climate change was a minority concern; now, most scientists agree that man-made global warming is a real, urgent crisis.
People need to relax and stop being idiots.
There is nothing new under the Sun.
Ecclesiastes 1:9-14
This year, the lame duck Obama administration has nothing to lose. They can really up the ante. Maybe a trillion?
Because “weather is not weather” in the fantasy world of climate science.

Climate scientists are “a collective Noah,” Weaver says. They have done their job, given the evidence to the politicians — only to be ignored. Weaver, the author of Keeping Cool: Canada in a Warming World, also had a key role when the Nobel Prize-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change issued its report in 2007. People like him must be tempted to throw their hands in the air and walk away, particularly when constantly challenged by the half-informed.
It looks like he is doing an excellent job keeping Canada cool.

Highlighting the failure of last year’s Copenhagen climate summit, the report called for international commitment at events such as the U.N.-sponsored climate talks to be held in Cancun, Mexico, next month, “if we are to face up to what may be the most serious threat the world has ever faced.”
Wow. Those little tiny molecules we exhale are worse than World War, Plague, Smallpox, Polio, Nuclear War, Malaria, Drought, Famine, Communism, Fascism, Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Asteroids, and Religious Fanatics.
I hear that there are people in Berlin hiding CO2 refugees in their cellars.
Are these people completely mental, or do they just think everyone else is stupid? Or both?
The CO2 Blitz in London makes 1940 look like child’s play. People turn their lights off at night to avoid being targeted by CO2 bombers.
