$100 Billion Dollars A Year To Help Poor Countries Cope With Climate Change

We have gotten so used to Obama’s wild spending spree that sometimes we forget how much of our money he is spending. Last Christmas, Hillary promised $100 billion per year to stop climate change.

As Scott point out, that is $1,000 per year per taxpayer.

Did you agree to have government raise your taxes by $1000 per year to finance the largest scam in history?

Hottest Year Ever : Cold Southern Hemisphere

I merged the Unisys SST anomaly map with the NOAA land temperature anomaly map to make the video below. Southern Hemisphere temperatures have collapsed to far below normal during November.

Met Office : World Warming Faster Than Previously Thought

Ten years ago they told us that “snow is a thing of the past” and now they tell us that things have warmed faster than expected since.

Oil Well Heats The Planet

http://planetsave.com/

The other object in the picture has nothing to do with planetary temperature.

The Met Office makes an amazing discovery right before Cancun. What a stroke of good fortune for the occupants of this planet.

The Met Office report includes a new study which shows that sea surface temperatures were higher than initially thought because of a change in the way the temperatures were measured after 2000. The new analysis significantly increases the warming scientists think was seen globally over the past decade.

The work is significant because the rate of global warming from 2000-2009 is lower than the 0.16C per decade trend seen since the late 1970s, a fact climate scientists have been keen to explain. Including the new sea surface temperatures, which push up global temperatures by 0.03C, the warming rate for the past 10 years is estimated at 0.08-0.16C. The new analysis of sea surface temperatures adjusts underestimates which arose from the change from predominantly ship-based temperature measurements before 2000 to mostly buoy-based measurements afterwards.

Climate Scientists Discover A Myriad Of Catastrophies Right Before Cancun

Completely unrelated to politics and the requirements of future funding, people calling themselves climate scientists have made all kinds of amazing discoveries in the past two weeks showing that the world is heating up out of control even faster than they thought previously, and that their measurements have erred on the low side.

Turns out that the past needs to be adjusted downwards again. It might actually have been an ice age during the 1930s.

“As sea level rises coral reefs grow upwards”

Sea level has risen 120 meters in the last 14,000 years. Why aren’t the Maldives underwater?

As sea level rises coral reefs grow upwards. They thus track the rising sea level. Using the relationship between depth at which corals of a particular age are found the researchers calculated that following the end of the last glaciation, sea level rose uninterrupted at a faster rate between 8100-6500 years ago and then at a slower rate between 6000-2000 years ago. There has been a minor drop of around 0.5 metres since. This drop is indicted by emergent coral atolls i.e corals which are now exposed above sea level and are dead. That would mean that in the past sea level was higher.

Sea level rose much faster in the past. The Maldives are not in any danger of drowning. They just want our money.

IPCC Sea Level Nature Trick

http://www.ipcc.ch/pdf/assessment-report/ar4/wg1/ar4-wg1-chapter5.pdf

Global mean sea level has been rising. From 1961 to
2003, the average rate of sea level rise was 1.8 ± 0.5
mm yr–1. For the 20th century, the average rate was 1.7 ± 0.5
mm yr–1, consistent with the TAR estimate of 1 to 2 mm yr–1.
There is high con?dence that the rate of sea level rise
has increased between the mid-19th and the mid-20th
centuries. Sea level change is highly non-uniform spatially,
and in some regions, rates are up to several times the
global mean rise, while in other regions sea level is falling.
There is evidence for an increase in the occurrence of
extreme high water worldwide related to storm surges, and
variations in extremes during this period are related to the
rise in mean sea level and variations in regional climate.

The rise in global mean sea level is accompanied by
considerable decadal variability. For the period 1993 to
2003, the rate of sea level rise is estimated from observations
with satellite altimetry as 3.1 ± 0.7 mm yr–1, signi?cantly
higher than the average rate. The tide gauge record indicates
that similar large rates have occurred in previous 10-year
periods since 1950. It is unknown whether the higher rate
in 1993 to 2003 is due to decadal variability or an increase
in the longer-term trend.

That last sentence is a classic. They avoided the obvious answer that the higher rate from 1993-2003 was due to using a different methodology to generate the numbers. The older measurements are from tide gauges, and the newer ones are from satellite altimetry.

They failed to mention that tide gauges don’t agree with the satellite altimetry. They failed to mention that we don’t see much if any increase in rates from tide gauge data. They failed to provide any justification for the switch. They failed to provide any evidence that tide gauges are less reliable now than they were in the last century. They failed to do any verification of the accuracy of altimetry measurements.

This is just another IPCC nature trick – switching measurement systems to create an increase where there is none.
