Hansen ran to the press this summer proclaiming the hottest 12 month period in history. I wonder why he couldn’t wait until the end of the year?

Salon says that the storm this week was as bad as the one in 1975, and that proves “global warming”
Problem is, in 1975, the weather was blamed on “global cooling”
“Several independent indicators show an increase in global warming from 1975 to 2003. This increase is mainly due to the increase in the concentration of carbon dioxide,” the academy said in conclusion to the report.

There seems to be no limit to the dissonance in the climate science community. Temperatures started warming in the mid-1970s because of the PDO shift.
It is completely irrational to blame the warming on CO2. Did CO2 suddenly change properties in 1975?
It was very enjoyable, despite the fact that it was a total rip-off of the story lines from Pocahontas and Fern Gulley. We all know that the climate was indeed perfect at Chaco Canyon, and that the Aztecs were a peace loving people living in harmony with nature and with each other.
But James Cameron’s recent statements may be slightly off base :
Temperatures have increased by 20 degrees in just a couple of hours. We are told that CO2 regulates the temperature, so I will have to assume that CO2 levels have greatly increased this morning.
One of our leading local climatologists says : “There’s really no question at all that CO2 molecules emit heat.”

We are constantly being told that corals are in danger of extinction from global warming and ocean acidification. It is difficult to overstate how ridiculous these claims are.
Corals evolved 500 million years ago when CO2 levels and temperatures were much higher.
Corals normally grow at depths less than 30 metres, which means that all modern coral reefs had to have formed during the last 8,000 years.
