Prior to 1955, 100 degree days in September were very common in Al Gore’s home state of Tennessee, but they almost never happen any more. During September, 1925 – more than one quarter of days were over 100 degrees.

US August 4th afternoon temperatures peaked in 1930, and have been declining ever since.

On August 4th, 1930 and 1947 huge swaths of the US were over 100 degrees.

One hundred years ago today, it was 113 degrees in Iowa, 112 degrees in Illinois Oklahoma, and Arkansas, and 111 degrees in Missouri and Kansas.

August afternoon temperatures at Conway, Arkansas peaked in 1936, and have dropped three degrees since the 19th century. Similar story at Newport, Arkansas. August temperatures there peaked in 1930, and have fallen almost five degrees since the 19th century.

This graph is every July daily maximum temperature ever recorded in Minnesota.

These graphs are a sneak preview of the new software I want to develop, which will completely change how people analyze temperature data, and will generate these graphs instantly.

Republicans accuse Democrats in places like California of letting illegal immigrants vote. But regardless of whether or not they actually go to the voting booth, they all vote in the electoral college – which is determined by census. The more illegals they can flood into California, the more electoral votes California receives , and this the more influence they have in elections.

Illegal immigrants get just as much say in presidential elections as citizens do, and that is exactly the way Democrats want it.

Smoke from the California fires gave us a spectacular sunset this evening.

Last summer we had a similar sunset, but there was one big difference last year – sunspots. This year there aren’t any.

August 3 US afternoon temperatures peaked in 1930, and have been declining ever since.

On this date in 1930, it was 113 degrees in Nebraska; 112 in South Dakota, Oklahoma and Kansas; 111 in Missouri, 110 in Iowa and Arkansas, 109 in Minnesota, 108 in Illinois and 106 in Virginia. Average maximum temperature around the US was 94 degrees. There were 100 degree temperatures coast to coast.  CO2 was below 310 PPM.
