Seems to me that sea-level is a good indicator of global temperature. What with expansion effects and whatever amount of water is changed by glaciation/polar ice, it is good to know that we continue within the warm embrace of the Holocene optimum.
Once that trend line starts to decline, I do not want to hide it, for mass migrations will have to commence, once the earth heads back towards its more common ice-age climate.
Equatorial Africa is the only region where humanity was able to continue its existence during the last glacial transition to maximum. The current lineage of humanity is all traced back to there about 60 thousand years ago.
For the warmists reading this: I know you believe it was 10 thousand years ago according your belief in Creationism. So I stand corrected as that is a possibility in a fantasy world.

It is dishonest to say this without supplying evidence to Hansen saying what the rise would be in only a tenth of that time or at least him stating the rise would be linear.

The linear heating effect is like putting on the kettle with a simple on switch. No kettle ramps up the energy. Look at the graph.
I agree it smacks of scientific dishonesty to make such a claim that Hansen without a cite. The IPCC made no such claims. It is actually tracking at the lower range of predictions.
