Bill Clinton Warns That Taiwan Will Be Drowned By Global Warming

Clinton arrived in Taipei on Sunday afternoon for a 24-hour whirlwind trip as part of a speaking tour in Asia sponsored by a Singaporean company.

In his speech, he warned of the consequences of global warming, and said every island nation in the world, such as Taiwan, must confront the potential threat of a rising sea levels.

He also asked everyone else to make sacrifices he isn’t willing to make.

Unless there is a massive overhaul of people’s lifestyles, there could be “social, political, and even military” repercussions, he contended.

Are they still on their billion dollar tax funded vacation world tour?

  2. Nonoy Oplas says:

He said the same thing when he spoke here in Manila, maybe a day before he went to Taiwan. That more low lying areas will be affected by rising sea water. He is not aware that many mountain areas in the Philippines are now prone to flooding — not because of global warming but because of too much rains and globalc cooling.

  3. SMS says:

When people like Al Gore, Jim Hansen and Bill Cllinton stand behind their own dire warnings by lowering their personal carbon footprints, people might take what they say a little more seriously. NONE of the CAGW mavens have moved into mud huts yet.

With these kinds of nimby attitudes, people like Gore, Hansen and Clinton can only be seen as narcistic con-men.

  4. PhilJourdan says:

Why would he care? They do not make cigars there.
