Puffington Host : CO2 Reduction Will Secure The Mexico Border

Of all the issues Barack Obama will address during the next two years, none is more important to his legacy than global climate change.

Michael Oppenheimer of Princeton estimates that, depending on the severity of climate disruption, as many as 7 million residents of Mexico may immigrate to the United States over the next seven decades because of reduced food production. There goes control of our borders.

(That rate would be a reduction from the current rate)

On the other hand 7 million might want to go the other way.

  2. Sean says:

In an odd sort of way, this may be a correct assesment but the reasoning is wrong. If the de-industrialization “green” solutions become a mandate, their will be no prosperity in the US so there will be no reason for illegal immigrants to come here.

lol, no doubt, I wish we only had a million/decade. We could almost afford them then.

Good deal! I was planning to move to Mexico so that should open some space for me; my wife, 8 kids, and 7 grandkids. Has anyone checked the coastal weather just north of the Yucatan?

The perfect spot for you! Right in the path of major Hurricanes! There are a couple of locations near Baja where Americans have set up enclaves and a bunch of “Snowbirds” Winter over” down there. I gave “Passing” thoughts to retiring in that area.

Ohh noo! I’m going to have to change my mind regarding AGW because as you know if there one thing us hateful “deniers” hate more than “science” are “immigrants.” Gimme a break…

Anyway wouldn’t the immigrant get frozen to death by all of the warmcold? They’re not accustomed to frigid temps.

Oppenheimer has quite the imagination when it comes to creating colorful climate scenarios. He’s a real card.

“[By] 1995, the greenhouse effect would be desolating the heartlands of North America and Eurasia with horrific drought, causing crop failures and food riots…[By 1996] The Platte River of Nebraska would be dry, while a continent-wide black blizzard of prairie topsoil will stop traffic on interstates, strip paint from houses and shut down computers.” Michael Oppenheimer, published in “Dead Heat,” St. Martin’s Press, 1990.

And here I stupidly thought they were coming for the tax free jobs and government benefits. They’ve actually been coming to get authentic Mexican food, and to sunbathe in the arctic warmth.

  8. Andy Weiss says:

Our climate and environment would also be in ruins by then (according to the alarmists), so why would anyone in their right mind want to come here?

  9. PhilJourdan says:

That horse has already bolted the barn. 7m? 3 times that (up to) have already.

  10. Ralph says:

Funny, we have summer crops here in Florida and it gets every bit as hot as Mexico.

I can’t believe how incompetent the Huffington Post is. 7 decades for 7 million? That will happen in about 2 years.
