The Whack Jobs Are Coming Out Of The Woodwork

Plans by members of a Topeka church to picket Thursday outside services for the youngest victim, 9-year-old Christina-Taylor Green, prompted Arizona’s state House and Senate to unanimously pass emergency legislation to prohibit protesters within 300 feet of a burial or funeral.

Westboro Baptist Church planned to picket the girl’s funeral, as it has at military and other prominent funerals, to draw attention to its view that the deaths are God’s punishment for what the church describes as the nation’s tolerance of homosexuality.

    was the little girl gay?

    • for what the church describes as the nation’s tolerance of homosexuality

I don’t see how the math on it works either.

To those whackjobs it does not matter – only that America does not burn every homosexual at the stake matters to them.

On a good note, at least they serve one good purpose. While many are trying to make political hay out of this tragedy, the Westboro church is uniting Arizonans as no other event has since 9-11. The response by them gives me hope for the future of America.

I wish they would make that a national law, those idiots (Westboro) should not be allowed to harrass funerals. People pay for burial plots, funerals and so on, whether privately or through paying taxes, and should be allowed to bury their dead in peace.

  3. prohibit protesters within 300 feet of a burial or funeral

They should have made it 300 parsecs.

I’m with Amino…. not far enough. Even the schizo-freak has insanity for a defense. Unforgivable.

  5. Dave G says:

These people are disgusting, agree with amino and trust!! Tony D, what a stupid thing to ask, so what if she was?? Her family and friends deserve a funeral, WITHOUT interruption!!

  6. Philip Finck says:

In Canada that would probably be interpreted as a criminal act called Criminal Harassment. A cross burner (one incident only) got 6 months in the crowbar hotel yesterday in NS. I’m not a lawyer but if not criminal, it would be looked at bery closely.
