16 Year Old Doesn’t Think He Will Survive Global Warming

Thank you James Hansen and Al Gore for creating a generation of spectacularly  neurotic children.

I am 16 years old. This morning I filed a lawsuit against the United States of America, for allowing money to be more powerful than the survival of my generation, and for making decisions that threaten our right to a safe and healthy planet.

Our parents’ and grandparents’ generation have created a problem. They’ve developed a society that depends on burning fossil fuels, like coal and oil, to survive. They never realized that there were any huge consequences to running our lives with fossil fuels. But now, we do.

Our addiction to fossil fuels is messing up the perfect balance of nature and threatening the survival of my generation. If we continue to hide in denial and avoid taking action, my and I generation will be forced to grow up in a world where hurricanes as big as Katrina are normal, people die every year because of heat waves, droughts, and floods, and entire species of animals we’ve come to know disappear right before our eyes.

    Leave a comment? DORK!

  2. Latitude says:

kid better learn how to get a job………….

  3. Andy Weiss says:

I have heard high school age girls saying that they might as well jump off a roof, because they have nothing to live for due to the effects of global warming.

It is a form of child abuse to needlessly frighten children for your own personal gain. You kids should file suit against Gore, Hansen, et al for putting psychotic, suicidal thoughts in your head.

  4. Glenn says:

    Children can’t file lawsuits.

  5. Jim Cole says:

OMG . . . . sad in so many ways.

When I was 16 (now I sound like a geezer), my main concerns were:
    1) Girls
    2) Getting good grades
    3) Making the tennis team
    4) Girls
    5) Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, early Beatles, etc.
    6) Getting a car that was far cooler than the family sedan
    7) Repeat items 1 through 6

If the16-year old in this story had lived BEFORE fossil fuels were heavily used, his overriding concerns would have been:

    1) Heat
    2) Food
    3) Shelter

It may have been Michael Crichton who said (in effect), “We live so well-off that we now have time to imagine problems that don’t really exist”

This kid needs a summer job on a farm.

    lol, Logan’s Run?

Here’s an example of our brilliant youth, using a mode of transportation to emits no CO2.

    Alec? Is that you?

  7. Mike Davis says:

Most of my grandchildren are older than 16! One of my grandfathers lived his entire life without electricity and my father never learned to drive a car. My mother left with four children for a better life when I was 5.

  8. Al Gored says:

Well, I’m old. Not that old. But even if I was 16 I would be worried that waiting for The Warming would kill me eventually.

This kid’s statement says too much about the education/indoctrination system, and more about people who use such poster children… and it doesn’t say much positive about the future or his future if he is typical.

  9. Nobama says:

somebody get the kid a hankie…. and maybe a paddle.

  10. Paul in Sweden says:

Monday night I watched Björn Lomborg’s Cool it(streaming). There are a bunch of scenes with Björn in classrooms with little kids showing him pictures of environmental disaster, telling him how afraid they are and how they have global warming nightmares. Björn really tears apart the fear mongers in his film. It is a decent film for alarmists as well as skeptics. I would rather have Cool It shown in schools than The Inconvenient Truth.

  11. PhilJourdan says:

I am not surprised. I should have sued Einstein and Oppenheimer when I was a kid! After all, the MAD policies of the USSR and the USA were making my future bleak.

I guess when you do not have a fulfilling home life (or any life), you seek scapegoats. This child would not be born except for the things he curses. But there is an ultimate cure for idiots like this – fix the error – perform a self post partum abortion.

  12. Jleon says:

Hold on folk’s! Let’s not forget the damage that our little “scholar in residence”, Bill McCreeppin, is doing to our youth…..No one takes “moonbattery” to the level that this moron does!!!!!!!

  13. EJ says:

I went over to read some of the comments. Many were removed, including one from Willis E. What a joke.

I wish I could have read it, I am sure it would have been very informative.

  14. sput says:

precocious one, usually they don’t get that stupid until later in life

  15. DirkH says:

The “perfect balance of nature ” sounded eerily familiar… Here’s one source, the Inconvenient Youth march announcement from mid April. The kid echoes their entire manifesto. Somebody should sue his parents for mistreating a dependant minor.

Here is a video from 2008 showing Al Gore with Alec Loorz, the kid.

Alec has been educated to become the next warmist scaremonger-in-chief!
