Chris Huhne faces police investigation over allegations wife Vicky Pryce agreed to take speeding points. Essex police have assigned an officer to investigate the claims that would almost certainly result in the end of Mr Huhne’s ministerial career and a jail sentence if proven.
Earlier today Huhne announced a plan to cripple the UK economy by forcing everyone to use very unreliable, expensive and frequently non-existent energy sources.
“The new budget puts the government on target to meet a reduction by 2050 of 80% of carbon emissions compared with 1990 levels. The committee has said that to reach this carbon emissions should be cut by 60% by 2030”
60% in less than 20 years is pretty ambitious, especially given the main thrust of using the technically challenged option of wind power. Presumably those who agreed to this madness were given projections (based on fairy tale figures), and told to ignore current performance levels.
