Damn they’re having a hard time catching a break.

  2. mrsircharles says:

Ever seen a profile of the so called “Steven Goddard”?

    I haven’t.

    Liars appear and disappear again.

Real science though is traceable and reputable.

    • So who do you think is going to win on Saturday?

    • Latitude says:

Since all of the science that Steve posts is traceable right back to NOAA, NASA, MET, Rutgers, Hansen, and on and on…..

Keep up the good work Steve!

    • suyts says:

      Indeed.
Click on the link on your name and I get this “Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.”

Seriously though, do you think there’s a better thread to cast your dispersions? In case you haven’t noticed, we’re talking about some real suffering of our fellow human beings.

      Idiot.

      • Jimash says:

Steven really does bug people. I admire that.
Bugging people who aren’t even there, that is an achievement.
        Efff ’em.

      • suyts says:

lol, yes, some people have imaginary friends…… Steve OTOH has imaginary enemies.

I do find it ironically humorous that mr.sischuckles would come to this real blog worried about the owner of this blog, while this she/it not only doesn’t use its name but also pretends to have a blog.

  3. mrsircharles says:

I haven’t started a blog myself. So what?

If you still believe that this pseudonym “Steven Goddard” is telling you facts… have you ever checked his graphs? Do they really mirror the data? I did that last year and the graph was false. But the article including this graph has seemingly disappeared.

You don’t even bother who Steven Goddard really is as long as he confirms your BELIEF which has nothing to do with “real science”. Real scientists have a profile. They publish their data. And they frequently publish peer reviewed articles. I haven’t seen anything of that from “Steven Goddard” whoever this might be.

    • Latitude says:

sounds like a skyepony to me…………………

    • Jimash says:

Well just for the laughs bud,
Steven has adequately identified himself to my satisfaction.
He owes you no CV or profile. And if I had pissant complainers and heel nippers like you huffing at my exhaust gasses as he does I’d probably play my cards close to my vest too.
He confirms not our beliefs but our suspicions, about others’ beliefs.
That he does so with some humor and disdain for grant grabbers and hyperbolic hysterics simply adds to the entertainment value of taking the climate evangelist’s house of cards apart.
His scientific knowledge, acumen, and ability to operate on a level at least as high ( and generally higher) as any statistically incompetent ( and they are) climate scientist, is patently obvious.
Further, as already mentioned he does the work of digging out the actual published information that is often hidden or distorted ( see 1934)
and thus, is one of my favorite and most trusted blog writers.
      Your traction is nil.

      {Steven, feel free to delete my hero worship if you choose}
      Jim

You’re laying the insults on pretty deep aren’t you mrsircharles , and I don’t mean just at Steven Goddard. Your ilk is silly. You think you will turn us on a dime because of some shallow attack.

BTW, who are you? I bet you’re nothing more than a hit and run commenter.

  4. suyts says:

Lol, actually he did get an article published…… Steve you got that one?
Also, I haven’t noticed anything being disappeared, could you be more specific? If you can’t you will be seen as someone who is simply trolling. And yes, I do verify.

As to your assertion that you haven’t started a blog, the link attached to your name seems to indicate that you have. Notice the link attached to my name. If you click on it, it takes you someplace. It is when considering how to respond I realize that you probably don’t understand that it is optional to fill in while you’re posting. Noting that, you’re gonna have to do better than just come here and spew. Show you work, sis.

  5. mrsircharles says:

It was about winter snow coverage in the northern hemisphere. Not only the graph was false, also the conclusion that the world would be cooling. More rainfall in winter (snow) is caused by global warming (more water vapour). Also not mentioned in the article: Spring snow coverage has been constantly declining in the same period of time.

I posted under my real name with one of my email addresses. The result was that this specific email address went automatically into my friends’ spam folder after me debunking “Steven Goddard”‘s article. That’s how deniers do their work. “Real science” my arse!

  6. Andy Weiss says:

So, we can expect more and more winter snow as the planet warms. Then why are our alarmist friends saying the ski industry is doomed? You can’t even be consistent with your own BS.

  7. mrsircharles says:

If there’s a lack of understanding about the impacts of global warming how could we expect some understanding of the causes then. Very scientific indeed.

I recommend the more literate reader to take a look at the Climate Progress blog

    • Latitude says:

      I don’t think so…..
..we used the last of the aluminum foil on the roast tonight

Boy, that’s a new one. Gosh, never heard it before… Actually that is so 5 years ago.

The truth is you folks make global warming so “deep” that no matter what comes you say it is global warming.

      Global warming is deep alright.

    • Amino Acids in Meteorites says:

      Climate Progress blog?

      Baghdad Romm’s place? Nah.

  8. mrsircharles says:

    @ suyts

So you admit that global warming is real?

Russia has already placed a flag on the grounds of the north pole. Scientist reckon that the Arctic will be ice free over the summer in a couple of years.

    • What kind of rock do they have at the North Pole? Was it hard for the Russians to dig through?

      @ suyts

You are here just for satire, aren’t you. If not you have some loose screws.

    • suyts says:

Sis, what part of, “I’d like to say I’d be back, but the new digs don’t have the internets, so……..”

Sorry, I realize that could sound a bit cryptic for some of the less initiated.
What I should have said, “I’m leaving my office and going to my new home that doesn’t have internet, yet.”

While I appreciate your (lol) wikeleaks links and flags planted in ever moving ice. Charles, you ought to stick around, you may conclude that your looming thermageddon may be off by a few years.

    • J Calvert N says:

      MonsieurCharles,
The first of your two links to the “neven1” site showed the JAXA sea ice extent graph. Here is the direct link to the real thing. http://www.ijis.iarc.uaf.edu/seaice/extent/AMSRE_Sea_Ice_Extent_L.png

The second of your links was a contribution to the “Arctic Sea Ice” blog by a Mr “FrankD”. It’s well wrong. I wonder where he got his data from?

If you go to the Norsex Sea Ice site at this link . . . http://arctic-roos.org/observations/satellite-data/sea-ice/observation_images/regions.txt
You can get good arctic sea ice data dating back to November 1978. There are 4 columns of data which have to be added-up. This can be arranged into rows and columns in MSExcel to obtain a graph like FrankD’s – only this one is based on real data.

In Sept 1979 the arctic sea ice area was 7,245,144 sq km.
In Sept 2009 the arctic sea ice area was 5,805,588 sq km.
It is unwise to extrapolate – but just for arguments sake . . . .
      (7,245,144 – 5,805,588 ) sq km/ (2009 – 1979) year = 47,985 sq km / yr
      5,805,588 sq km / 47,985 sq km / yr = 121 years! (i.e. 2130 A.D.)

That’s rather different to FrankD’s prediction of an ice free actic by 2016.

  9. Andy Weiss says:

You are saying that we should take very drastic, immediate, expensive action, which would probably wreck the fragile economy, when you admit there is not complete understanding of what the effects of CO2 even are. For all you know, extra CO2 might be preventing another Ice Age or otherwise be beneficial.

  10. Phil Nizialek says:

I remember that place, Jimash. Isn’t that a picture ot “The North Pole” village at Old Forge, New York in the Adirondacks? My parents took my brothers and I there on vacation in the late 50s! It was so much colder then, don’t you know.

  11. Jimash says:

    Good call Phil.

  12. mrsircharles says:

Reminds me on a bunch of first graders here.

    • Jimash says:

Here you are, calling us out, casting aspersions on the blog owner, accusing the rest of us of illiteracy .
And here you are quite apparently simply repeating what others have told you,
without even the ability to back up your own statement and and answer the question about exactly what ground it was at the “north pole” that the Russians planted a flag in.
You can’t even google up your own support and its obvious that you just accept what people tell you blindly and do not even care what the reality is of the words that you hypnotically intone.
      Pitiful.
So now, where DID the Russians plant that flag, Santa’s workshop ?

    • Jealous of the big kids, eh?
