Obama On Regime Change

Obama used to think regime change was a bad idea. He also used to believe that harsh interrogation was illegal.

Things are different now. He actively supported regime change in Egypt, and has been busy the last couple of weeks with assassination missions in Libya and Pakistan. He also seems to be working on regime change in Syria. Apparently he thinks it is better to shoot someone in the head than to waterboard them or give them a military trial.

Obama’s ongoing changes in his belief system remind me of one of my favorite movies.

Bentley: I heard in Cairo that Major Lawrence has a horror of bloodshed.

King Feisal: That is exactly so. With Major Lawrence, mercy is a passion. With me, it is merely good manners. You may judge which motive is the more reliable.

One Response to Obama On Regime Change

  1. PhilJourdan says:

Obama aside for the moment, one has to wonder about the Nobel committee. I would say that the job is making the man in Obama’s case, but he is becoming the Antithesis of what (my perception is) the Nobel committee wanted from him.

in other words, he is growing up and maturing, something the idiots in Oslo never had to do.
