Why is the green background perfectly in synch with the green of the certificate? In my world the edge of the page is the end of the pattern. In the curve of the page near the spline the pattern does not distort at all. ?????

One (of many) clinchers for me was that a politically correct staffer, who did a horrible job “recreating” the document, could not bring himself or herself to put “Negro” in the space for “Race”. “African” was put there, not knowing what to do. Hilarious! Even though, at that time, “Negro” was the PC correct response to “Race” in 1961! Only a PC person of today’s PC-ness would respond that way. I guess he/she knew enough that “Black” was a derogatory designation in 1961. Instead, “African”, a Nationality, not a race, was put in the space.
