Sounds like Landrieu is one of the few remaining Democrats who is actually a Democrat, and not a psychotic Socialist Ideologue. But rather than the oil provider walking away, we need the eco-psycho dems to order it. It wouldn’t even take 8 hrs for sanity to return.

If we did as recommended, it would make the Great Depression look like a walk in the park. But that is what we need to do for Gaia’s sake. Along with millions of people freezing to death in their homes next winter. But if we can stick it to Big Oil, just think how good that will feel!
We really need to shut off the oil tap on a global scale. Of course, most of the existing oil resources (fields, wells, refineries) are controlled by governments. It will require an iron fist to enforce a global moratorium on oil use.
Time to start adding to the list of Obama’s wars?
It is a situation where supply is driven by demand! All those who want a reduction in fuel use should stop using it. Quit talking about what need to be done and do it! Reduce the demand!

If the oil companies did turn off the taps there would be absolute mayhem in the United States. A complete breakdown in law and order. Warmists just don’t know what they are asking for.
