It has been more than 35 months since a hurricane struck the US, the longest period since before the Civil War. Rest assured, when one does hit, Romm will tell us that it is proof of global warming.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

happened to be listening to the tv as i was surfing and CNN came on and ‘breaking news’ about the hurricane…blah blah…they just can’t wait for the first hurricane in some time, 24/7 coverage of the ‘unprecendanted’ damage etc etc…
Wait till a peer-reviewed study comes out blaming the apparent rarity on AGW. The increased rotational energy makes the hurrincanes, hurriedly curve their oaths away from the US land mass and how it is endagering some species that depend on the reneweal of soil etc.As long as there is grant money there will be enough story telling going on.

Irene is coming and everyone is wetting their drawers over her. According to their precious precautionary principle we need to immediately evacuate everyone east of the Rockies ad south of the Great Lakes because it is possible some portion of that area “May” be affected by Irene. Or maybe not!
