    Steven , thank you for being considerate of the turnips. Turnips have a contribution to make to society , bidon on the other hand has yet to do so . Possibly the title could read US vicepresident dicusses history with reporter while on crack ? I mean the way the guy acts he must be on something .

    I think it’s a shitty article.

    For one, I don’t think I would consider this to be very flattering:

And if you think being more closed-minded makes you less happy … well, think again. Instead, it appears that the relationship runs in the opposite direction.

    The need for closure is often interpreted very negatively — understandably so. But if it has an upside, it may well be the happiness and peace of mind that it confers. Conservatives tend to be more assured in their views and confident in them; thus, they have less need to agonizingly question them. They know their place in the world and aren’t troubled over it. “It’s kind of a peaceful bliss, cognitively speaking,” explains Kruglanski.”

    Although, I don’t know where this guy got the idea that people think that close minded people are less happy. I surely don’t know anyone that thinks that way.

    Roman Hruska, R-NB back in 1970, made a floor speech urging confirmation of G. Harrold Carswell to the federal bench. Reporters had dismissed Carswell as “a mediocre judge”, to which Hruska replied:

    “Even if he were mediocre, there are a lot of mediocre judges and people and lawyers. They are entitled to a little representation, aren’t they, and a little chance?”

    Biden is there for the stupid people. Katie Couric is there for the brain-dead.

      Biden is one of those people who has an underdeveloped “embarrassment gene.” Around age 6 is when a child first becomes capable of being embarrassed and Joe’s never developed. I’ve known a few people like him but never thought I would see one in a high position. They are very hard to be around because other people become embarrassed for them while they stand there oblivious to everything.
