“We need a constitutional amendment that would allow the legislature to control the so-called free speech rights of corporations,” Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) was quoted as saying by CNS News.
Democratic Rep: Amend Constitution To Allow Control Of Speech « CBS Atlanta
In 2010, he warned the military that Guam was going to capsize from the weight of soldiers.

The great thing about America is that any mentally defective person can get a top job as a Democrat in Washington.
Jeebus, did he even think about what he said?
What? We must never learn that Guam did not tip over????
Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) . . . bringing stark new meaning to being “Stuck on Stupid”
Is it good or bad that they’re not trying as hard to hide their totalitarian impulses?
Legislate against certain forms of free speech in order to protect democratic principles. Makes sense.
I put that youtube video on facebook and my libtard brother defended him! Crazy.
Cool. One could argue that government is the biggest corporation of all. Let’s shut them the hell up. Constitutionally. Oh wait, our forefathers tried that…
The argument presented, as far as I can work out, is that evil corporations have brain washed the public. (This is why Obama lost the US election.) Hank Johnson, however, is no fool. *He* hasn’t been brain washed. He knows The Truth and by restricting free speech he can prevent further brain washing of the naive public, who are not as smart as Hank. Or something.
Yes this guy is an idiot, yes we should follow the constitution instead of messing with it.
His sentiments are correct though…all that is needed is a law clarifying that corporations are not people. Several jurisdictions have indeed passed such laws. But as long as SCOTUS continues to promote and protect corporate personhood our government will remain in their employ.
Hitler said, “I have met the superman, and he scared me.” My guess is he had just come from a meeting with his corporate sponsor.
I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial by strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country.
Thomas Jefferson
Not only are they people, they can be 1 person. If I incorporate my business, I will be the sole employee. Do we discriminate based on size of corporation? Then we should also disallow free speech when critical of Islam, I suppose.
‘But as long as SCOTUS continues to promote and protect corporate personhood our government will remain in their employ.’
So, should we demand better character from corporations, or from our government? The problem is not too many big corporations, it’s too few Jeffersons. Influence has to be accepted to even exist.
He played the race card on the floor of the House again today. Everyone opposing Democratic policies is racist, and all weather phenomena are due to catastrophic anthropogenic global climate disruption.
And ya wonder how this person got elected, well no ya don’t have to wonder, ya know how it happened. Maybe Toshinmack has an opinion on this subject?. What say you David Toshinmack, ya foul mouth assclown moron! LMAO! 😆 & BWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Is it a bit like some UK constituencies, where for some, you could put forwards a donkey with a rossette for some parties and it’d get elected?
This is the guy who defeated Cynthia McKinney for the congressional seat he currently holds. He could be considered the better of two incompetents.

My worry is that with too many Democrats in office, the 1st Amendment might just tip over and capsize.
Gee! I didn’t know that Guam was actually a floating landmass. What I want to know is when is California and the NE Coast going to tip over? 😉
Sigh. Guess its time to start the outline of my new book; ‘The Decline and Fall of the American Republic’.
You missed it by two years….
