Petraeus To Admit That He Lied To Congress?

CNN reports that former Central Intelligence Agency director David H. Petraeus wants to tell Congress that he knew “almost immediately” that the attack on the U.S. Mission in Benghazi was perpetrated by terrorists.

According to the source, reports attributing the attack to protests surrounding an anti-Islam video and protests in Cairo were not disproven until after Petraeus made his initial report to Congress.

Despite that, according to CNN, Petraeus had separate talking points from Rice’s and that her talking points came from somewhere else in the administration.

We all know that the White House was lying and covering up, but Petraeus also lied to Congress on September 14.

Congressional Republicans were furious with Petraeus for what they described to THE WEEKLY STANDARD as “misleading” testimony he gave to the House Intelligence Committee on September 14. In that session, Petraeus pointed to a protest over an anti-Islam YouTube video as a primary reason for the attacks on the U.S. facilities in Benghazi, Libya, despite an abundance intelligence pointing to a preplanned terrorist assault on the U.S. consulate and CIA annex there

I have yet to see the actual communication, or communications, of any real intelligence reports perpetuating the attack as a band of protestors gone wild. Everthing in print and reported portends to an instant recognition of an EXPECTED military Islamic terrorist assult. Even if the General says he mislead, it does not begin to explain why anyone believed him, or what Obama new when, or what actions he took, or why the lie was perpetuated, or what was the real mission in Lybia was.
