My mother was doing well and resting comfortably last night. It will be about ten days before we know if the operation was successful, but so far so good. Thank you everybody for your prayers and good wishes!

I’m glad to hear that. All the glory is to God! And let us also pay forward. “Freely you have received, freely give.”
Great news!
Wonderful to hear!
Thank you for the update and will keep those good thoughts and prayers coming your way!
Good news, Steve! Continued best wishes for your Mom’s recovery.
Glad to hear it, Steve. hang in there.
Awesome. Please pass on my wishes for a full and speedy recovery.
Good news and I hope things continue to work out well for your mom.
5000-10000 IU of Vitamin D3 supplement a day will help a lot for recovery and thereafter. Whenever you have a major surgery, your body uses a lot of vitamin D to start recovery process and also immune system to fend off infection. Elderly people tend to have rather low vitamin D level which would explain why they tend to have complications from surgeries. My 75 years old mother has been taking 5,000 IU a day for years and she really hasn’t had major health issues. My 80 something years stepdad is still going on strong. I’ve seen him fall hard on concrete sidewalk on his elbow and only had a gash. He did break his arm years ago and at my suggestion, his doctor tested him for vitamin D and it turned out to be low. Vitamin D is the key for elderly people’s health.
Great news…gotta keep the good Moms around. Lost mine before I outgrew my idiocy to realize how good she was.
Mine’s still here, though she’s 24/7 care now. Dad’s been dead 50 years.
Glad to hear, Steve. Praise God!
Great News Steven.
Good to hear she’s on the mend. Take good care of her.
STOP kvetching. Stories come out of you.
Good to hear! Hopefully she is back to 100% soon. 🙂
