1929 : 80% Of Swiss Glaciers Receding

They are still finding trees that were buried under the Swiss Glaciers at the end of the Roman Warm Period. Once upon a time the region was more livable and did not have as many Glaciers! People had to adapt to the weather patterns that formed the glaciers to keep living there.
To everything there is a season.
They needn’t have worried in 1929, the Swiss trains are still running, the lights are on and all the winter sports are still going.
