Cars, Guns and Bicycles

Last year, two of my kid’s friends were killed in separate auto accidents. A friend of mine was critically injured in a cycling accident.

No one I know was injured by a gunshot. You are 100 times more likely to be killed by a car, than by a rifle in the US.

Fear of rifles is almost as irrational as fear of CO2, which is why Democrats are endlessly obsessed with both.

I was raised in a military family and a gun culture. I have shot and owned guns all my life, and most people I know outside work own guns and hunt. There was only one shooting incident that ever came within my wide circle of friends and family. He was a family friend who suffered from depression and chronic illness, and he shot himself when his wife left him in the coldest of fashions. The gun was his first choice, there would have been others.

I can’t recall not ever having or using a firearm.
Many friends also own/use firearms over the years too….

putting thinking cap on…nope…no firearm incidents involving any friends or relatives in the 55 years….

    Bikes/cars…sadly….yes

And they know they’re saving the planet, especially by keeping 5 of our 11 Aircraft carriers with their support task forces in Norfolk.

Oh, they hate cars too. Their policies push toward public transit and limiting vehicle choice. Many regulations (CAFE, for example) not only increase cost, but tend to make cars less safe. The problem they face is Americans would truly revolt if cars were outright banned as they are trying to do with firearms.
