GOP Earned Some Respect

I was driving out to do some shooting this morning, and was listening to NPR’s discussion of sequester. It was generally biased towards Obama, but they allowed a number of Republicans to score points and demonstrate that Obama was largely FOS.

The only thing that most people notice are winners and losers. NPR noticed that the Republicans kicked Obama’s ass this week.

Republicans need to stop pandering (McCain) and start doing the right thing. They should be slamming Obama 24×7 about his breaches of the Constitution, his global warming bullshit, his out of control spending, his using taxpayer money to pay campaign favors, his incessant lying, …..

The Republican Party’s approval rating has sunk amid wrangling over the fiscal cliff and looming debt ceiling, according to a NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released Thursday.

The poll found that 49 percent of respondents have a negative view of the GOP, the highest negative marks for the party in the poll since 2008. Just 26 percent said they have a positive view of the Republican Party.

In contrast, 44 percent of adults surveyed said they have a positive view of the Democratic Party, while 38 percent have a negative one.

The Tea Party also found earned strong negative marks, with 47 percent viewing the movement unfavorably.

Dear God, Mr. Christ, can I get tickets 2 New Age Paradise, 4 I cheer up, attempt 2 anyway, grumpy olde men. Soon from our chemical Tower of Babel we will demand your answer.

What disturbs me most is that “republicans” have not seized the opportunity to negotiate via regulation removal.

They have the opportunity to do it right now. For example, “Get that ‘global warming’ shit out of the EPA and we’ll consider funding your Government.”

I wouldn’t do it any other way, unfortunately you can’t count on people like McCain to be anything but a jackass

  3. Not having US politics under Bush closely can it be categorically stated that Obama rhetoric is worse than previous republican rhetoric?

Having been thoroughly trashed by nearly everyone over Iraq, it can be categorically stated that Bush sounded like a blithering idiot by the time he left office because he was trying to appease people that he had no business attempting to appease

It comes down to getting the ass kicking of a life time for trying to adhere to a politically correct structure that changes daily.
With the conservative party lacking the intelligence to combat the bullshit, then that’s where we find ourselves today, wrapped up and dogged down by asswipes!

Joe Kernen at CNBC had it right. The republican’s PR is pure amateur night in comparison to Oblarny’s. They really need to get the asses in gear and start telling the truth about Oblarny’s lies.

  6. Mike Mangan says:

The Republicans are really two parties now. It’s heartening to see the rise of “libertarian Republicans.” Too bad it took the damage of the Marxist bastard in the White house to make them rise up.
I talked to my brother from Colorado Springs last night, Steve. You DO have an infestation out there. Make shotguns illegal? Good grief.

The country clubbers in the Republican Party can’t connect with the fact that the bien pensants have declared war. In fact, most of middle America is still only dimly aware that it’s in their cross-hairs.
