Hope And Change

In October, 2008 I went to see Obama speak at CSU with friend. She thought Obama was incredible, and I thought he was the ultimate vapid and slimy used car salesman.

We have had many “discussions” about him over the years, but today at lunch for the first time, she made no attempt to defend him.

Even the hard core faithful are starting to see him for what he is.

She also told me that I should “run for president”  ROFL

This is exactly the problem. When a used car salesman someone on your side of politics promises to give you what you want do you believe him?

The real understanding will come when they work out that no one can give them what they want. Only give them what they need, which they don’t want…

    Sigh.

Slick Willy still wows the rubes.

BamBam will likely do so for many years to come.

Some people are just more easily conned than others.

Still peeved about the November election, huh?

Yeah, that’s gotta sting. You guys nominated a real loser.

  4. Oh jeez. A president that uses facts to make decisions and knows history. Let me dream for a moment.

I thought there was something about Obama that bothered me prior to 2008 election. Needless to say, I didn’t vote as I did not really care much for McCain either.

Sure, after they voted for him. Twice. I recall a video of a woman at a ‘town hall’ who stood up and told Obama that she was tired of having to defend him, and that was in his first term.

My response to those who have become disillusioned with Obama, and who are going to be screaming about Obamacare when they find out what it’ll really cost them, is: Told ya so. You voted for it; you own it.

  8. He may have made a competent president if (a) he had acquired some practical life experience in the real world and (b) he was about 20 years older than he currently is.

Good to know right wing politicians are always upfront. I largely can’t stand conservatives or progressives at this stage. Chances are that if you voted the last 30 years, then you probably voted for a used car salesman. So stop trying to ride a high horse.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years.”

“Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage.”

Sad, but true. The EUSSR has already been established; you’re on your way to becoming the USSA. Don’t let it happen!

Dis you guys hear the rousing reception to his speech in Israel today? There is no doubt that he is a popular leader around the world — even in Israel.
