What they mean by “unprecedented” is “completely in the noise of natural variability.”
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Bishop Hill had a great post on this very issue. An apparent slam dunk on the “unprecedented” scam: http://bishophill.squarespace.com/blog/2013/5/27/met-office-admits-claims-of-significant-temperature-rise-unt.html
The graph above strongly resembles the mating call of the Blue Footed Booby!
anyone that looks at that….and is afraid of warming…..is a moron
You see this one? Canadian Scientist Regenerate Long Frozen Arctic Plants
What she doesn’t say is that there was a medieval warm period on Ellesmere Island. Warmer than today. Warm enough that 4 different types of moss immigrated and colonised under what is now a glacier in a high Arctic mountain pass.
Thank-you Steve that puts the last 20, 30 60, or 100 years of temperature changes into perspective.
Why in the past when the cold was ‘extreem’ it didn’t stay cold or got colder and why when it was ‘extreem’ warm it didn’t get hotter? And don’t forget that what we call hot in the history of the Earth is cold.

The more i look at that graph, the more i think we are lucky in this day and age to have a “climate” as warm and generous as it is right now….
The EPICA “Dome C” ice cores show four more glaciation cycles. “Climate Scientists” now admit that these CO2 variations were driven by temperature changes. In a pathetic attempt to salvage something from the debacle, Jeff Severinghaus claims that CO2 provided “Amplification”:

I have a little fun at Jeff’s discomfiture here:

And an interesting paper from Canada puts the cause of the majority of recent warming down to CFCs releases.
