Coldest Start To Spring In England Since 1922

March-April averaged 5.1C in England, the coldest first two months of spring since 1922.

May of 1922 was warm, so this will probably end up being the coldest spring since 1917.

Steven, how did you extract their data into a usable form? please

    • Just read it into Excel

The file from Hadley is a plain text file, no matter what you PC may say. (MS Windows is quite dumb at recognizing internal file data types, Linux is excellent at this trivial task)
Rename the file from a file.dat to a file.txt file type for Windows

This can be imported to an Excel spreadsheet by using the Data, Get External Data, Import Text File
An import Wizard will take you through the process.
Formatting as a graph also has a Wizard in Excel.

Note that the similar can be done in other spreadsheet programs such as the free Open Office or Libre Office ‘Calc’ programs.

    Thanks guys.

Steven, on CNBC today there was a prof from princetown uni claiming CO² is not as bad as the alarmists have said. Sadly I got draged out shopping so couldn’t watch and they haven’t put it on their website.
