No Time To Debate

Five years into his presidency, and less than a year after his second election, Obama suddenly has “no time to debate” global warming.  It is just too urgent.

He had plenty of time to debate destruction of the coal industry during the election cycle, but chose instead to pretend that he was a big supporter of coal production.

Days on the golf course as of 6/01/13… 25. But…

    No time for debate.

Its a shallow political tact that if you utter the phrases “time is running out” and “we need to think of our children’s future” you can instill a sense of emotional urgency in place of rational logical thinking.
He uses it constantly – and so do the alarmists. Its almost as overused as “unprecedented” and “sustainable”. Those are all the fallback positions for those without substance.

  6. Steven, Steven. I can tell you exactly why Obama lacks the time to debate the science right now.

My wife just received this from Obama for America:

“Subject: Fly for free and meet the President

    [. . .]

“President Obama is going to meet three supporters backstage at an event next month.

“If you’re picked, you’ll get flown out for free to meet him — and you can even bring a guest.

“Think of how happy you’ll make the loved one you pick to join you — and the photos you’ll be showing off to your friends and family for years to come of the experiences you’ve had as part of the movement for a progressive agenda for the nation.

“All you have to do is add your name today for a chance to be there [. . . .]”
