The NY Times and other Warmists were screaming about Marco Rubio “denying” climate change the other day, so were saying that Miami and Florida are ground zero for CC. Yet, according to NOAA data, Florida is looking at roughly 8 inches of sea rise every hundred years, which is right in the wheelhouse of the average sea rise per century over the last 7,000 years. One would think that, in order to make an average, sea rise would be much higher during a warm period. Yet, nope.
What you don’t realize is that the ongoing collapse of the Ross Ice Shelf is exactly what is being predicted for the WAIS. Both are so slow hardly anyone will ever notice.
The UNSW says the Ross ice shelf will melt by Christmas and the ANU says its not melting at all and it’s getting colder. Both are caused by global warming.

Ross Ice Shelf is floating, so it doesn’t raise sea levels when it melts. It raises sea levels when the ice advances from the land into the ocean and floats. I would think that if ice were sliding off the land faster and moving into the ocean (the shelf) faster, it would cause the shelf to advance, not retreat. A retreating shelf means less ice is sliding off the land. So when they say a retreating ice shelf is a sign of global warming, they are full of rubbish. It means the opposite.
