The ancient Christians were not paranoid, and neither are we. Classical civilization suffered under these Muslim assaults for 450 years before the first “crusade” even took place.

    • Chris Barron says:

“The ancient Christians were not paranoid,”

It’s not a bad video but you can’t call christians of 600AD (the time when islam began) ancient. The christians around prior to then weren’t in fear of Islam either.

I was at an old burial ground today, first burial was about 5500BC when a henge was constructed…a wooden death mask was found on the remains, together with clay pots and a wooden club……then 5000BC another burial took place and a cairn was constructed….then 4000BC the last pre christian burial took place and another cairn was constructed, covering the first. At 2000BC more activity took place but not burials

In 100AD the first christian burial took place at this location which makes many people wonder…who were the people who predated christianity…..picts, celts ?

The Romans attempted to invade Scotland but found the residents too savage and withdrew….the Roman crusades were bloodier than anything which went before them.

No civilisation has survived for more than a few thousand years and death of civilisations is a common feature of all organised human societies…..and yet we still don’t know for sure what causes the collapses, we can only speculate.

I suppose the question is how we deal with clashes of civilisations from here on…….history is ironically only a very modern thing…..before arcaeolgy, carbon dating, ground radar and written records came about very few people had access to information about their ancestors which were tangible, most only had word of mouth.

The way to defeat ISIS and extremist islam is compulsory McDonalds, cable TV and high levels of sugar in the diet, anything which makes everyone the same is a good start 😉

      • gator69 says:

        Are you bored Chris?

You are a blowhard, and I need no history lessons or lessons on religion from people as ignorant of history and religion as you…

Chris: stoning to death by christianity, as spelled out in the bible

That is what intelligent people call ‘The Old Testament’, and existed before Christ, you moron.

When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”
        -John 8:7

Come on Chris! Show us your vast knowledge! 😆

Do I need to repeat that you were wrong, again? Yep!

        Chris the village idiot spews:

“Islamic Law”…Nobody fears it. It doesn’t actually exist

Why do you feel it necessary to keep proving that you are an idiot? We know already! 😆

To Arabic-speaking people, sharia (/????ri???/;[1] also shari’a, shar??ah; Arabic: ?????? šar??ah, IPA: [?a?ri??a], “legislation”) means the moral code and religious law of a prophetic religion.[2][3][4] The term “sharia” has been largely identified with Islam in English usage.[5]

Sharia (Islamic law) deals with several topics including: crime, politics, and economics, as well as personal matters such as sexual intercourse, hygiene, diet, prayer, everyday etiquette and fasting..

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharia

        Webster’s defininition of ancient…

ANCIENT: 1- having had an existence of many years, 2- of or relating to a remote period, to a time early in history, or to those living in such a period or time; especially : of or relating to the historical period beginning with the earliest known civilizations and extending to the fall of the western Roman Empire in a.d. 476, 3- having the qualities of age or long existence

        So yes, “ancient” applies.

And of course the Musims got along to get along, as they always do when they have no real power. Study the dfifference between Mohammads actions and words between Mecca and Medina.

You are a waste of space and time.

        • Chris Barron says:

“You are a waste of space and time.”

You must be more bored than I in order to find it in yourself to discuss these things with me in that case

“Study the dfifference between Mohammads actions and words between Mecca and Medina.”

Study fantastical myths and legends to compare one set of lies with another ? No Thanks 🙂

” of or relating to the historical period beginning with the earliest known civilizations and extending to the fall of the western Roman Empire in a.d. 476, 3- having the qualities of age or long existence”

THEREFORE I AM CORRECT…..christians who were paranoid about muslims only existed after islam was created, in a.d. 600.
a.d. 476is the latest time something can be called ancient, according to webster’s. a.d. 600 is not in the period called ancient by Webster’s

        • gator69 says:

The Village Idiot says: Study fantastical myths and legends to compare one set of lies with another ? No Thanks

It’s called “history” VI, another subject about which you are ignorant.

ANCIENT: 3- having the qualities of age or long existence

No, you are wrong, again VI.

The Village Idiot says: christians who were paranoid about muslims only existed after islam was created

Again, we know religion is not a subject with which you are familiar VI.

He pleads “Study the dfifference between Mohammads actions and words between Mecca and Medina.”

Unlike you,Gator i do not consider the words of a so called religious prophet to be history…..you remain free to believe that Mohammad was real and the prophet for the religion which you follow……….

        • gator69 says:

The Village idiot says: Unlike you,Gator i do not consider the words of a so called religious prophet to be history…..

his·to·ry noun: 1. the study of past events, particularly in human affairs.

You are truly the dumbest person I have ever met. 😆

I guess it is your failure to study history, that forces you to continue to say stupid sh*t.

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
          -George Santayana

And thanks for another keeper! 😆

        • Chris Barron says:

By you’re own quotes you believe the muslim prophet was real.

That’s fine, but no thanks, the jehovahs witnesses are due any minute too……they’ll probably expect a piece of cake and some tea

Born approximately in 570 CE in the Arabian city of Mecca,[8][9] Muhammad was orphaned at an early age; he was raised under the care of his paternal uncle Abu Talib. After his childhood Muhammad primarily worked as a merchant.[10] Occasionally he would retreat to a cave in the mountains for several nights of seclusion and prayer; later, at age 40, he reported at this spot,[8][11] that he was visited by Gabriel and received his first revelation from God. Three years after this event Muhammad started preaching these revelations publicly, proclaiming that “God is One”, that complete “surrender” (lit. isl?m) to Him is the only way (d?n)[n 3] acceptable to God, and that he was a prophet and messenger of God, similar to other Islamic prophets.

          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhammad#Early_biographies

Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, was born in Mecca around the year 570. Orphaned before he had reached the age of six, he was raised under the protection of his uncle Abu Talib. Muhammad began working as a merchant and became known for his trustworthiness.

When he was about twenty-five, he married Khadija, a wealthy widow whose status elevated Muhammad’s position in Meccan society. Muhammad and Khadija had four daughters and two sons, both of whom died in infancy.

Muhammad was a real person, a historical figure, but your willful ignorance makes you say otherwise.

          Thanks for another keeper! 😆

        • Chris Barron says:

Fuck me Gator !….I didn’t know you had your own rule book
          http://www.bestofbeck.com/wp/activism/saul-alinskys-12-rules-for-radicals

          …..keep that ridicule coming……..

Back to rules 5 and 8….come on now

        • gator69 says:

Nobody would have you Dumb Dumb, least of all me! 😆

Now, would you care to explain your rant?

        • Chris Barron says:

          It’s such a great story Gator……really…….

As a human in possession of a level of sanity, why not share with me the details of the moment when you read that and went from being skeptical, to being someone who believes without question what you read…..and give the details of what it was in the information which you could use to validate it’s authenticity

I guess, it was once written in a book, so therefore it must be truth……

Time for a rule 5 for radicals, gator http://www.bestofbeck.com/wp/activism/saul-alinskys-12-rules-for-radicals

        • gator69 says:

Now you are completely incoherent. You will have to try harder, or sleep this off.

        • Chris Barron says:

I think you need to read rule 7 Gator
          http://www.bestofbeck.com/wp/activism/saul-alinskys-12-rules-for-radicals

Before responding you refer to ‘the rules’…………it’s getting predictable

        • gator69 says:

Me thinks you project too much. :

Really Chris, stop now, my sides are hurting again!

        • Chris Barron says:

          “Now you are completely incoherent.”

Yes of course….you do seem to be so deeply engaged in discussion all the same, so I am not alone 😉

You activists eh ? What are you like !

        • gator69 says:

Why? Are you trying to woo me now?

You already asked me to have sex with you once today. Get a magazine already! 😆

        • Chris Barron says:

“Really Chris, stop now, my sides are hurting again!”

Nobody’s humour is so deeply rooted that it can defeat the withering feeling of ‘why am I bothering to do this’ Comedians get depressed don’t they…..

On with the activism anyway !

        • gator69 says:

What acitivism drunkard? Isn’t it nearly 1 AM where you are?

          Time for bed Dumb Dumb.

        • Chris Barron says:

Lets get this straight….do you believe that what is written on Wikipedia, a representation of what is claimed about the existence of Mohammad, is beyond question and is accurate, historical fact as it were ?

        • gator69 says:

And PBS Chris. PBS not known for religious zealotry either.

And yes, I believe what I read there as much as you believe the wind turbine propaganda you ciite.

      • Neal S says:

Chris wrote “No civilisation has survived for more than a few thousand years”.

I wonder how old Jewish civilization is. Has anyone checked the date on the Jewish calendar? But very few people want to consider the extent of Jewish civilization in area or time in the ages past.

        • Truthseeker says:

The indigenious Australians have a continuous culture going back 40,000 years. I guess it depends on what you call “civlisation”.

  2. omanuel says:

Progressive policies and government LIES were Stalin’s way of controlling the world after he emerged victorious from WWII.

The Swedish and Norwegian National Academies of Sciences merit special recognition for giving Nobel and Crafoord Prizes to those who best helped Stalin isolate the public from reality.

  3. To be fair, I doubt the protesters have the bods to make the dress work as intended.

    • Andy Oz says:

I’m glad to see they’re wearing High-Viz for OH&S reasons.
That bra from 1967 could take someone’s eye out!!
All those blokes should be wearing eye protection.
      😉

  4. diogenese2 says:

Steve, much as I admire you and daily peruse your blog with delight, sometimes you stretch a theme a bit beyond its contents. These ladies are exercising the traditional British practice of the obscure and pointless demonstration. Who the f*** is Sergei Brin anyway? This was a LICENSED demonstration as indicated by the high visibility jackets ( Health and Safety Act 2005) and the police (similarly attired in the background). I see that it was held in Buckingham Palace Road, the double red line indicating a “no stopping zone”, so it was a Sunday demonstration (bookable about 3 months in advance). What it was about god (or Allah) only knows! The question “does google teach manners?” I answered by googling “manners” with 55.9m links in 0.74 seconds, quite a teaching resource. The ladies were obviously “progressive muslims” as I could see the ankles of the lady in pink on the left. The old chap kneeling looks vaguely familiar – if its who I think it is he is probably praying that his wife does not see this picture.

  5. Lance says:

It is relatively easy for a “progressive muslim” to “protest” in the UK. Wonder what it is about their religion that doesn’t enable such similar protests in every muslim dominated nation on Earth. Once they figure that out, meaningful discussion might be had. Adducing heroism to the protesters in the UK is an affront to those opposing oppression in other places where individual liberty is not protected.

    • gator69 says:

RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.

      http://www.bestofbeck.com/wp/activism/saul-alinskys-12-rules-for-radicals

    • Chris Barron says:

I disagree Lance……things have liberaled up in recent years and you can now see the film containing the sex scenes of Jesus screwing Mary whatshername….if the correct warnings about the content are given first…but films depicting scandalous christian acts, or films depicting the monarchy doing something not quite correct get hauled up by the censors when they wouldn’t do if the act was not set in a christian context

I wish we had some equality, but censorship for the sake of not offending christians is still pretty widespread

      • gator69 says:

A “Christian act” is to love thy neighbor as thyself. Actions that are not in line with that, are not “Christian” acts.

Quit spewing about subjects on which you are so incredibly ignorant.

The village idiot just keeps burnishing his religious credentials! 😆

stoning to death by christianity, as spelled out in the bible

        • Chris Barron says:

          ““Christian act” i”

Who said christian act ? only you, not me.

I said a ‘christian context’….meaning you can probably make a film which is suggestive of terrible acts if it takes place in a time or place which cannot be identified as a strongly religious one….but if yoi set the same film in christian context….taking place in a temple in the presence of Jesus for example, censors would view it differently.

We can imagine that such a film is intended to be a work of fiction, and that nobody would consider a horrendous act to be christian act, just because it took place in a film set in a christian context

        • gator69 says:

The Village idiot says: I disagree Lance……things have liberaled up in recent years and you can now see the film containing the sex scenes of Jesus screwing Mary whatshername….if the correct warnings about the content are given first…but films depicting scandalous christian acts, or films depicting the monarchy doing something not quite correct get hauled up by the censors when they wouldn’t do if the act was not set in a christian context

You said it Dumb Dumb. Put the bottle down and go to bed before you spew more BS. You are ignorant on the subject of religion, so shut up already.

Need I remind everyone again VI? 😆

        • Chris Barron says:

A clear example is the comedy film ‘The Life of Brian; Which was banned in some parts of Scotland, Ireland and Norway.

          Quote
Banned Monty Python Movie”The Life of Brian” was not only banned in Scotland, but other countries. The heading reads “The Right to Slander God?” as far as Christians felt. It was considered by some of the people of these countries as blasphemy (Religious Defamation.” By granting the right of freedom of speech, the state was trying to protect the right to objectively criticize religious institutions and thus, refused to punish or exclude those accused of blasphemy. Legal protection was aimed more at the religious feelings of individuals.
The modern cases of slandering God that the world has grappled with in the 20th and 21st centuries have mostly been related to artists who have allegedly injured the feelings of others. Usually the chosen form of their statements are understood to be as reproachful as the content.
Simply put, “The Life of Brian” was making a laughing stock (thinking of it as comedy) out of God and the Crucifiction of Jesus. It was not well received in Europe at all.

        • gator69 says:

Shows the ignorance of you and your neighbors. I am big Monty Python fan, and have seen that film many times. I know a joke when I see one, and I see you! 😆

One pastor Chris, on a radio show. Whose head did he chop off? Should we lock him up?

        • Chris Barron says:

Pastor Kevin Swanson of the Reformation Church, who hosts Generations Radio, denounced the film as “very evil”, and that Disney was “one of the most pro-homosexual organisations in the country”.

Swanson said: “You wonder sometimes if maybe there’s something very evil happening here … I wonder if people are thinking: ‘You know I think this cute little movie is going to indoctrinate my 5-year-old to be a lesbian or treat homosexuality or bestiality in a light sort of way.'”

He also characterised Disney as a satanic company, saying: “If I was the Devil, what would I do to really foul up an entire social system and do something really, really, really evil to 5- and 6- and 7-year-olds in Christian families around America?… If I was the Devil, I would buy Disney in 1984.”

        • gator69 says:

        • Chris Barron says:

Lock him up. He requires to be medicated…..he uses the luxury of free speech against itself, a true enemy of freedom.

He uses his right to call an organisation evil (comical I know, but go with it) for enjoying the right to free speech by writing films they want to write.

You are clearly delusional too. You want to deny him of his free speech, so you are just as, if not more, nuts! 😆

The Village Idiot says: You won’t see me telling Americans who they should vote for, not least of all because I think that representative voting is dumb and insults everybody’s intelligence….but maybe I will have to make an exception now…… you should vote for……….someone who doesn’t need to spend millions on campaigning to get you to vote for them.

I don’t support Obama (even if I wanted to i couldn’t) but nothing Obama does is particularly worse than what Romney would have done

          Isn’t hindsight a wonderful thing indeed 🙂

This toxic lake poisons Chinese farmers, their children and their land. It is what’s left behind after making the magnets for Britain’s latest wind turbines… and, as a special Live investigation reveals, is merely one of a multitude of environmental sins committed in the name of our new green Jerusalem

That is a first. I had never heard “censorship” called “good manners” before.

Ironically in 1967 (see picture above) the theatre was still censored by the Lord Chamberlain, who was very well mannered, but the “progressive” government of Harold Wilson applying his “white heat of technology” abolished this function allowing (the day after) the first London performance of “Hair”. A great show and |I still have the original (broadway) cast LP.

  7. I understand helping people and refugees….

The UK however has destroyed its OWN culture…. we are doing the same here in America… what nation or people ever valued itself soooooo little… Muslims march in London chanting f_ck the Queen…. Kill the Queen… and they are Protected… not deported… and MORE are allowed to come in… meanwhile anyone who points this out or speaks to British Culture is labeled a racist and threatened with Jail…

How backwards… And… its probably too late… Progressive Social Policy ruins great nations and their great culture…

“Muslims march in London chanting f_ck the Queen…. Kill the Queen… ”

Many Brits birth shout it every day too (not me). but you need to understand that it is understood that the queen is really only a living metaphor for the reason Brits support the state…..or so we’re told.

Ever since there was a royal family there has been healthy objection to the existence of royals and the institution. Many of those left to run away to the US….the hardcore stayed and do their best to this day.

I don’t recall the last time I thought about the queen…..I suppose it must have been at Christmas when she comes on TV to deliver an annual speech……and i don’t remember the last time I heard anyone talking about the royals, unprovoked, usually it is only in response to stupid newspaper articles about what they’re getting upto.

Muslims march in London chanting f_ck the Queen…. Kill the Queen…
      – it makes no difference to me….I know non muslims who would try to hatch a death plot if they thought they could get away with it !

    Dutch newspaper article

International aid groups and Italian authorities have criticised Europe’s so-called “Triton” border protection operation as inadequate to tackle the scale of the problem.

Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi called for an emergency summit of leaders from across Europe to discuss how to prevent further deaths of migrants in the Mediterranean.
