Experts Say That Buying Oil From ISIS Will Reduce Asthma

SCIENCE!

Obama timed his announcement to the most recent USGCRP draft assessment on climate change and public health (which is still open to public comment, if any of “comment activists” want to take their skepticism somewhere productive). While it’s not final, the report shows how these connections get made. It starts with epidemiologists identifying a new disease trend—say, asthma cases on the rise. An environmental health specialist might also notice that air quality has been getting worse, and testing shows it’s from an increase in particulate matter, such as soot.

On the other hand, one might note that the trend of journalists making up completely fake statistics and garbage logic to support politically motivated junk science, has skyrocketed.

Meanwhile, climatologists have been tracking a rise in local temperatures, and noticing more wild fires. Eventually, the various lines of research meet: Warmer air temps correlate with higher particulate matter. Higher particulate matter causes more cases of asthma.

Malia was born in Chicago in 1998. US forest fire counts have declined about one third since she was born.

US air quality is much better than it was when her father was born in the 1960’s. The amount of particulate matter in the air is vastly reduced since the Clean Air Act was passed. The pictures below compare LA in the 1960’s vs. now.

It is much more likely that Malia’s peanut allergy induced asthma, was aggravated by her father pumping smoke into the air.

“But we don’t have time to dither, or do the traditional Washington thing of kicking the can down the road. And I don’t think anyone is going to see any big breakthroughs when there’s a climate denier running the senate committee that controls funding for science and the environment.” (That’s James Inhofe of Oklahoma, newly installed head of Science and Public Works.) Ganapathy says that if the president were truly committed to reducing carbon (and thereby improving public health), he’d do something more dramatic, and fully within his powers. Like, for example, he could stop renewing the leases for fossil fuel drilling on public land and offshore—no family health issue invocation required.

There you have it. Experts believe that Malia’s likely peanut allergy induced asthma, which was likely aggravated by her father’s second hand smoke – can be stopped by shutting down US oil, and purchasing it from the Middle East instead.

Who could possibly argue with such brilliant logic?

In the EU, measures to combat climate change included the promotion of diesel powered cars because their higher fuel efficiency were seen as a way of reducing CO₂ emissions. This lead to an increase in the output of particulates so that cities such as London fail the targets for air quality. London mayor Boris Johnson has been suggesting changes to the London congestion charge to target diesel vehicles to reduce the problem. Yet another example of the unintended consequences of green legislation.

    • The end game with things like that is to remake the automotive sector so that even the cheapest practical car will cost about 1 1/2 years’ earnings at the median income level. At first, people who used to buy will try to lease, but once they realize they can no longer afford to do either, they will just give up driving altogether. There’s your “fundamental transformation”.

Will they succeed in making this happen? Much depends on how long they can keep people believing their CO2 hoax. One thing is for sure: they will not let any zero-emission energy source become cheap enough to substitute for hydrocarbons (even though that’s their stated goal). Such a development would completely destroy their end-game plan.

Any claim that the air is getting worse doesn’t jive with empirical measurements. In 2010, the EPA reported that the air was much cleaner, and continues improving since the 1970s!

    Since 1990:

Nationally, air pollution was lower in 2008 than in 1990 for:

    8-hour ozone, by 14 percent
    annual PM2.5 (since 2000), by 19 percent
    PM10 , by 31 percent
    Lead, by 78 percent
    NO2 , by 35 percent
    8-hour CO, by 68 percent
    annual SO2 , by 59 percent

    Since 1970:

I still say it was the cockroaches that raised her…

Recently, a major, federally-funded research project looked for allergy producing substances in the homes of several hundred children with asthma living in several major cities across the United States. Specifically, they measured the amount of cat, dust mite, and cockroach allergen in the bedrooms of these children aged 4 to 9 years. The results were quite striking.

Cockroach debris is an powerful allergen.

The most important allergen in these inner-city homes came from cockroaches. And the worst asthma was found in those children who had both the allergic tendency to make reactions to cockroach allergens and exposure to high concentrations of those cockroach allergens in their homes. Children in heavily cockroach infested homes who did not have an allergic sensitivity to cockroaches were not as likely to have severe asthma. Similarly, children who had the tendency for allergic reactions to cockroach parts but lived in homes with a low burden of cockroach allergens were also less likely to have severe asthma. It was the combination of both the allergic tendency and the allergen exposure that put the children at the greatest risk for troublesome asthma.

Pollution is down because there is virtually no industry left in the US.

Let’s be honest. There only two groups who matter. The Chinese who make all of our stuff for free and a few million white men who grow the food and keep the infrastructure running (I’d add the military if they actually defended the borders). The rest of you are parasites.

  7. Disillusioned says:

Since the air has absolutely been getting cleaner, the CO2 angle has continued to get louder. From 2011:
    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3196488/

The reason China has an increase in illnesses is because of pollution. Not CO2. Carbon dioxide is not and never was a pollutant. Yet, under this President, the EPA labeled it a pollutant (made possible by the Supreme Court). And, at the time of that article, the

There is zero scientific evidence that the miniscule amount of anthropogenic CO2 emissions, which are rising, and have been rising at a steady rate since the trough of the Little Ice Age, aggravates/induces asthma, or has any effect on health whatsoever!

But the NIH did get one thing correct. They corroborated that plant life is thriving – which satellites have shown us – the earth is indeed getting greener (the opposite of the CO2-based claims that it was supposed to cause “desertification”). Some people are allergic to grasses, pollens, etc. But, that doesn’t stop the propaganda, and the sciency suggestion – that correlation proves causation (that CO2 that is making people sick). The propaganda is so pervasive it is frightening.

Maybe vaccination makes people especially young children more vulnerable.

‘Australian parents will lose thousands of dollars of childcare and welfare benefits if they refuse to vaccinate their kids.
The “no jab, no pay” plan, announced by the federal government today, has bipartisan support.
Thousands of families could lose payments, with the government estimating about 39,000 children under seven have not received immunisation because their parents are vaccine objectors.
They would lose a childcare benefit of up to $205 a week, the childcare rebate of up to $7500 a year or the Family Tax Benefit A annual supplement of up to $726.

But the bulk of scientific opinion holds that vaccinations are safe and that objection to immunisation endangers the community by lowering so-called herd immunity to diseases.’

Asthma and allergies have always been with us… today its just identified more…

    Acidistasz, for one.

  9. Wow … Steven really blasted this one away…

Hilarious … were the issue not so… not so Serious… across the Globe we have World Leaders, Journalists, and so-called Scientists… oh… and a constant barrage of “University Studies” linking any real or perceived anomaly to CO2 based Climate Change…. much of it funded with your tax dollars !! Progressives always seem to find ways to fund their causes with someone else’s money…

Ridiculous… were it not so serious….
