Were The Vikings Color Blind?

Michael Mann has proven that the MWP never occurred, so apparently the Vikings were color blind. They thought this land was Green-land.

Greenland has had large forests in the past http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/07/070705153019.htm
And there is quite a lot of evidence from existing tree stumps that there were coastal forests during the days of Erick the Red and Leif Ericsson.

        • Disillusioned says:

Yet when these facts are brought up to natural climate deniers (fanatical religious believers/adherents in the fascist gospel of the Church of Global Warming), the response is almost always the same…

How well crickets adapt to rising temperatures may provide clues about whether or not humans can survive global warming.

UCF scientist Wade Winterhalter landed an $860,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Energy for an innovative study that fuses global warming models with a biological model that predicts the reproduction patterns of the striped ground cricket, also known as the Allonemobius socius.

If successful, Winterhalter’s study could provide insights into the impact of global warming on other creatures, their life cycles and their migration patterns – and it could further the understanding of how global warming will affect mankind.

_ b.) Physics textbooks replaced Nobel Laureate Francis W. Aston’s rigorously valid

This Viking Ski found in 2014 is from the mid evil warm period and found at edge of melting snow. Picture is not at a Moving glacier edge

So it was left their 1,000 years ago. Says it is 1,300 years old but tree that grew and was used was that old.

I am likely descended from Vikings, genetic testing has reaffirmed that my ancestors were Scottish Highlanders. According to recent genetic studies, blonde hair and blue eyes are a trait that only came about when humans traveled far north at the beginning of the current interglacial, around 11,000 years ago. Our pigmentation allows us to absorb more sunlight, and produce vitamin D with less exposure to the Sun. Due to ‘diversity’ I am more endangered than any Polar Bear

    • rah says:

Did you know that Polar Bear liver is toxic to humans because of the extremely high levels of Vitamin A.

Oh and BTW, you might find this take on the Vikings interesting. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2014/09/140926-vikings-norse-raiding-berserkers-scandinavia-winroth/?utm_source=NatGeocom&utm_medium=Email&utm_content=pom_20141012&utm_campaign=Content

Since the confirmation of my Highlander roots, I have been doing much reading on the Vikings, whose blood clearly runs in that lineage. They were absolutely feared, and reported as giants.

Ibn Fadlan was an Arab chronicler. In 921 C.E…

“I have seen the Rus as they came on their merchant journeys and encamped by the Volga. I have never seen more perfect physical specimens, tall as date palms, blonde and ruddy; they wear neither tunics nor caftans, but the men wear a garment which covers one side of the body and leaves a hand free…

Each man has an axe, a sword, and a knife and keeps each by him at all times. The swords are broad and grooved, of Frankish sort. Every man is tatooed from finger nails to neck with dark green (or green or blue-black) trees, figures, etc.

Each woman wears on either breast a box of iron, silver, copper or gold; the value of the box indicates the wealth of the husband. Each box has a ring from which depends a knife. The women wear neck rings of gold and silver, one for each 10,000 dirhems which her husband is worth; some women have many. Their most prized ornaments are beads of green glass of the same make as ceramic objects one finds on their ships. They trade beads among themselves and they pay an exaggerated price for them, for they buy them for a dirhem apiece. They string them as necklaces for their women…

They are the filthiest of God’s creatures. They have no modesty in defecation and urination, nor do they wash after pollution from orgasm, nor do they wash their hands after eating. Thus they are like wild asses. When they have come from their land and anchored on, or ties up at the shore of the Volga, which is a great river, they build big houses of wood on the shore, each holding ten to twenty persons more or less. Each man has a couch on which he sits. With them are pretty slave girls destines for sale to merchants: a man will have sexual intercourse with his slave girl while his companion looks on. Sometimes whole groups will come together in this fashion, each in the presence of others. A merchant who arrives to buy a slave girl from them may have to wait and look on while a Rus completes the act of intercourse with a slave girl.

Every day they must wash their faces and heads and this they do in the dirtiest and filthiest fashion possible: to wit, every morning a girl servant brings a great basin of water; she offers this to her master and he washes his hands and face and his hair — he washes it and combs it out with a comb in the water; then he blows his nose and spits into the basin. When he has finished, the servant carries the basin to the next person, who does likewise. She carries the basin thus to all the household in turn, and each blows his nose, spits, and washes his face and hair in it…

Genetics has also shown that the Neanderthals did not die out they just interbred, and the further North one’s roots go in Europe, the more Neanderthal DNA you will find. Asians also have Neanderthal DNA, just not as much as Europeans, and the only people without any, are Africans who never left the continent and never interbred with outsiders.

So I am very proud of my Highlander, Viking, and Neanderthal roots.

        Skål!

You forgot the ANGRY part. Angry White Male

        • spren says:

I, too, trace my roots to the Norsemen. I have the blue eyes and blonde hair, although at my age while still remaining blonde, it falls out before it turns gray. We came from Scandinavia to Scotland, and then to Ireland, and then some back to Scotland. We were a warrior and explorer class, but, alas, it seems that has lost its vigor. My children are an interesting breed, mixed with Ukrainian, but my daughter has blonde hair and blue eyes, while my son has blonde hair and brown eyes (with one eye having a small component of blue in it. But we all are Americans now and speak fluent English!

        • gator69 says:

My Viking DNA is on my mother’s side of the family, whom I favor. My maternal grandmother said I even walk like granddad, I have his singing voice and his facial features. His hair never turned grey, it was black and he had blue eyes. He also worked as a banker, and the women at the bank all thought he colored his hair. My hair is blonde, and is also not graying. To me it is incredible how we have held on to these traits, and how they resurface, generation after generation.

My older brother took after my father, brown hair (now gone) and blues eyes, and his son looks just like my dad.

        • Only those with dark skin can be considered ‘ethnic’ in today’s World… with a culture… a heritage etc… the rest of us are just ‘white’ and oppressors…

        • gator69 says:

The more I study history, the more it appears that the descendants of the Neanderthals have the real reparations claim.

What color is the snow in Greenland? I can’t tell if it is white & gold or blue & black.

  5. BallBounces says:

They called it Greenland because they had written a song about their new-found-land and needed a rhyme:

    This land is Greenland,
    It’s an awesome scene, man
    From Frederikshaab
    To Julianehaab…

(with apologies to our Greenlandian readers)

  6. SMS says:

The alarmists have used the excuse that the MWP was not a world wide event to bolster Mad Manns claims. This claim has been shown to be false. Now even the Chinese are showing that the MWP existed in Asia and was therefore a world wide effect. Establishing the MWP disproves the alarmist claims that significant positive feedbacks will occur with the slight increase due to GHG’s. Not going to happen! And again the alarmists are FOS. Too bad the media cannot think in logical terms or they would have seen through this sham years ago.

  7. Frank K. says:

The picture is dated April 10. Hmmm…isn’t it supposed to be Spring in Greenland???

  8. DavidG says:

As for Vikings, the red and blonde hair came from neolithic migrants from the near east. They had the genes for pale skin and for the hair and eye color funnily enough. They could have come from Canaan. Europeans were dark until interbreeding with these and some of these lost their intolerance of milk and started expressing pale skin and blonde, red hair in northern climates. My mother’s family is bonde and red hair blue and green, eyes, a clear Viking marker. But it has nothing to do with pride! Your 50th grandmither was raped by a few vikings is about what we have. Its nothing special, many peoples 50th grandmothers were raped by Vikings.
Now look at them, they have become Norwegians, or worse, Highlanders, what a snore. Christianity ruined them, sigh.:)

    • gator69 says:

Actually, my 50th grandmother saw this tall blond haired blued man’s man, and gladly accepted his advances. Conception is much more likely when both parties are enjoying the activity.

  9. Beale says:

The Vikings must have been not only color blind, but without a sense of heat and cold. /sarc

  10. Brian H says:

Climate changes formed the different colorations and body types, the world over.
