We used to have “Month Python’s Flying Circus” – but since its demise it has been replaced by “Science”

  1. Menicholas says:

Moles are going to tip over Easter Island and the Statue of Liberty as well?
But only if it is 2 degrees warmer in the Arctic?
    Krikey!

  2. They really should talk to an archaeologist before making up fabricated lies like this.

There is so much wrong with the story.

  3. Pathway says:

There is a simple solution. Break out the cyanide gas pellets. End of moles.

  4. Aurora Svant says:

Oh, if there is some damage on the stones, they will just repair them again, as they already did :

    • Marty says:

Yup, they have been straightened and set in concrete in the first half of the 20th century.

They are not an untouched 4000 year old pristine relic, that garbage is for the tourists

      • tomB says:

It’s a rip off £19 for what is just a photo ops you have to stay on the pavement and can’t get closer than 20 yards from them. But you can get a nice photo if you isolate yourself from the massive crowds

        • Rich W says:

What a joke! Don’t these people know how warm it was in the Middle Ages in Europe? Oh, wait, they want MONEY from the government, right?

  5. AndyG55 says:

um Tony… you do know that the top picture is NOT a mole… right ;-) :-)

  6. Stewart Pid says:

This is both unprecedented and worse than we thought!!
    Mankind is truly doomed.

  7. Gail Combs says:

I think I smell the sweet smell of desperation.

  8. gregole says:

    Could be…If….Are likely…They could…
    =
    Maybe/maybe not…Maybe/maybe not…Maybe/maybe not…Maybe/maybe not…

Ah, the smell of settled science; not unlike the smell of fresh manure in the bright sunlight.

  9. William Baird says:

    Oh no!!!!

What bad news to wake up to. Health & Safety should immediately blow up Stonehenge for public safety.

Moles are migrating to Europe in their millions, if we vote to leave the EU the sky will fall in.

Surely the UN can solve the problem by instigating world government without delay.

Only central planning can defeat the moles. Thank the fairies for settled science.

  10. Marty says:

Australia also had UNESCO scrub them from the report for the sake of tourism.

Yep, no politics at play at the UN, I swear!

    :D

  11. Andy DC says:

    Environmental Kook Alert!!

  12. ralph says:

OH NOS! Invasion of the monster moles!! Wait I thought global warming was supposed to shrink animals.

  13. Mr GrimNasty says:

It’s when the badgers put on their beach gear and get out their buckets and spades you really need to worry.

Dec 2016 was the warmest Central England Temperature(CET) since 1659, but then Dec 2010 was the second coldest by a mere 0.1C, and one of only 7 ever with a negative CET. The record shows that such large flips with a year/few years are common.

You can plot the England winter temps since 1910 here.
    http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/climate/uk/summaries/actualmonthly

They are currently a few tenths C warmer on average than 1910 and not showing any strong upwards trend.

  14. Stephen Richards says:

I’m doing my bit with my neighbour. We have killed about 18 moles this years. Dang lawnmowers keep getting busted by their hills.

  15. Wiliam Haas says:

Climate change has been going on for eons and will continue whether Mankind is here or not. The climate change we are experiencing today is caused by the sun and the oceans and Man does not have the power to change it. I am sure that there are better ways of controlling mole population then by means of Mankind deliberately changing the climate. Moles survived the last ice age and I am sure that they will survive the next one.

  16. Krakatoa says:

The only question in my mind is: which will tip over first. Guam or Stonehenge?

  17. De Paus says:

According to wikipedia Stonehenge was built in three stages, between 3100 and 2300 Before Christ. Now it appears there is a real science, called paleoclimatology. The UN doesn’t like what that science says, so they choose to ignore it. Paleoclimatology says there was a Medieval Warm Period, in which Greenland was really green. And that before that there was a Roman Warm Period. Jesus Christ lived in that period. Nowadays in the winter it snows in places like Bethlehem and Jerusalem. But the Bible nowhere mentions Jesus walking through the snow. And before the days of Christ there were other warm periodes. What I mean is this, since Stonehenge was built, there have been several periods that lasted ages in which temperatures were a lot warmer than nowadays. And moles and badgers existed in those days, too. They never threatened Stonehenge then, so why would they threaten Stonehenge now?
Could it have anything to do with government funding of anything that supports the global warming aka climate change bullshit?

  18. Jason Calley says:

I, for one, rejoice in the fact that the CAGW cult members have at last produced some climate-fear-porn which does not involve polar bears!

  19. rw says:

I suppose if these are IS moles, there might be something to the idea that they were trying to destroy Stonehenge. (At least this sounds more reasonable than connecting anything they do to AGW.)

  20. Dublinmick says:

You have been reading Mikey “no change Rivero” again? He is just pulling your leg, I would not take him too seriously.

  21. Whatsacomeanago says:

A modern Monty Python may have these moles altered by sponge genes, and as they made for the sea in droves, handlers could herd these critters and guide them to areas of the world suffering from ‘sea-level rises.’ Win-win.
