Summer Getting Much Shorter In Illinois

The weather station at Mt. Vernon, Illinois is an excellent rural station.

The first day over 85 degrees comes nearly 30 days later than it did in the 1930’s.

The last day over 85 degrees comes about 20 days earlier than it did in the 1930’s

Summers are about 50 days shorter at Mt. Vernon than they were 80 years ago. I’m using NOAA data – why are they telling us the exact opposite?
