Glaciers, over the long term, 500 million years, are an aberration. However, spring and green are, over the relatively long term, 1 million years, also an aberration. Which will prevail in our time?
Every profession has its traditions.
And traditional news may be a bit of a contradiction – but they save a lot of time for the journalist.
The only problem is to explain to people how a planet that is falling apart everywhere in the worst possible of ways
and on top of that with an extremely fargile climate that has a tolerance of less than 1/10000 (no superhighendprecision-tool has such a low margin of error)
can exist for more than 100 years, let alone develop complex life?
BINGO
As I’ve reported before, the Glacier Park Montana glaciers are only 3,000 to 4,000 years old… according to the park literature. in 1980 my cousin and I took the long hike to Grinnell Glacier and there wasnt much to it. Montana has much bigger problems than a tiny remote glacier melting or not melting. 5 years ago you could get a nice used house in Missoula Montana for 300k. now it’s 600 k. I guess that’s what you call the Biden build back better plan…. it made houses unaffordable to many people.
