NOAA has a tide gauge in the Marshall Islands which shows 1.43 mm/year – less than six inches per century.

    The water problems are from over population and most of the erosion problems are from over population. These people created their own problems, Let them find solutions!

      I am glad someone jumped on that one so quickly! It amazes me that journalists are so stupid.

      As for finding the solutions, they do not have to go it alone. Solutions have already been found and can easily be implemented by them – when it gets bad enough to warrant action.

    It is a man made problem but CO2 isn’t part of the equation. Covering the land with buildings and roads means more rain runoff and less land to soak up the rain and replenish the fresh water supply. More people means you are using up the water faster than it can be replenished.
    Taking the rocks off shore that protect the island and using them for building material is another man made problem.
