We should give it a party. Not many dieters last that long.

Reblogged this on wwlee4411 and commented:
They’re going to be crying about Global Cooling next. 18 years + they haven’t had the warming they’ve been crying for. So to “TRY” and stay relevant they’re going to need to change their message.

    • Gail Combs says:

Why in heck do you think Gore Bull Worming morphed into “Climate Change”

Unfortunately for them Mother Nature fooled them with NO WARMING and NO COOLING no major hurricane or tornado season or major flooding or droughts.

The last two decades have been as average as you can get. {:>D

      • Don says:

You missed the meme Gail, it is now morphed into climate disruption.

        Globe-Al-Gore Warming –> Climate Change –> Climate Disruption –> ????

        LOL

  3. Doesn’t appear CO2 above 200ppm has much affect…

Why aren’t the Media Celebrating this instead of publishing more doom and gloom?

    • Gail Combs says:

Because it was never about CO2 in the first place. It was always about the destruction of the middle class (the Marxist Bourgeois) who are an ever present threat to the elite.

Holdren is Obama’s science czar and his agenda is the destruction of the USA economy. The idea is instead of bringing other people up to the standard of living of the middle class in the USA, the middle class in the USA has to be dragged down to the standard of living in third worlds countries. In other words we have been betrayed by our leaders.

“Giving society cheap, abundant energy would be the equivalent of giving an idiot child a machine gun.” —Dr. Paul Ehrlich, Anne Ehrlich, and Dr. John Holdren, Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment, 1970, p. 323

“A massive campaign must be launched to de-develop the United States. De-development means bringing our economic system into line with the realities of ecology and the world resource situation.” —Dr. Paul Ehrlich, Anne Ehrlich, and Dr. John Holdren, Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment, 1970, p. 323

At Kyoto, the chair Maurice Strong, a billionaire socialist put it very bluntly when he said: “Current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class – involving high meat intake, the use of fossil fuels, electrical appliances, home and work-place air-conditioning, and suburban housing – are not sustainable.”

“It is a campaign not for abundance but for austerity. It is a campaign not for more freedom but for less. Strangest of all, it is a campaign not just against other people, but against ourselves.” -George Monbiot, UK Ecojournalist

“Can we balance the need for a sustainable planet with the need to provide billions with decent living standards? Can we do that without questioning radically the Western way of life?…
The reality is that, so far, we have largely failed to articulate a clear and compelling vision of why a new global order matters — and where the world should be headed….All had lived through the chaos of the 1930s — when turning inwards led to economic depression, nationalism and war. All, including the defeated powers, agreed that the road to peace lay with building a new international order — and an approach to international relations that questioned the Westphalian, sacrosanct principle of sovereignty — rooted in freedom, openness, prosperity and interdependence.”
~ Pascal Lamy former Director-General of the World Trade Organization and possible new head of the EU.

“We must make this an insecure and inhospitable place for capitalists and their projects. We must reclaim the roads and plowed land, halt dam construction, tear down existing dams, free shackled rivers and return to wilderness millions of acres of presently settled land.” ~ David Foreman, co-founder of Earth First!

“Complex technology of any sort is an assault on human dignity. It would be little short of disastrous for us to discover a source of clean, cheap, abundant energy, because of what we might do with it.” ~ Amory Lovins, Rocky Mountain Institute

I think it has been made very very clear that the goal is to return the majority of the population to poverty and serfdom. Too bad the idiot rank and file Progressives can’t seem to understand that.

OK this afternoon we will put it to the test.

I have a 55 gallon drum that has been converted to a Bar-B-Que. It will be filled with 20+ lbs of charcoal and unceremoniously lit on fire!

A friend of mine from Texas is moving out here to Arizona to start / expand his business and he and his colleagues are coming over for a (mega) Bar-B-Que. Daughter and son-in-law are coming over to serve it up big, Arizona style.

        Affluent middle class? Check.
High meat intake? Check. (Oh yeah!)
Use of fossil fuels? Check, double check.
        Electrical Appliances? Check.
        Air-Conditioning? Check.
        Suburban housing? Check.

Sustainable? What on earth does that even mean? Humanity will run out of resources when we run out of Sun and dirt. Not for a long, long, time. Not even a remote concern. The “run out of resources” prediction has never, ever, come true for anything. Ever. It is mythical religious nonsense, a boogy man who never shows up, stock in trade for Malthusians, believed in by the misinformed, the weak-minded, the sucker, the mark, the fool. Resource shortages, nowadays, are 100% government sponsored. There is no physical reason, give our current level of technology and learning that anything our little hearts desire shouldn’t be available. The planet? It doesn’t care. It’s just a water covered rock with a molten core and an atmosphere. Its plants love CO2, and its creatures love the plants.

Bad government? Big concern. Idiot socialists running their mouths at international meetings? Mildly annoying.

Oh. Tomorrow Bosnia vs. Argentina. More of all of the above.

So, after this weekend we can check how my parties (oh and everyone elses!), that Maurice so thoroughly disapproves of, have affected Earth’s “sustainability”. I’m not sure how that is checked though; partially because I’m not even sure what it is! The concept of humans “sustaining the planet”; good gosh what an insult to the English language and a violation of logic.

Can everyone on the planet party like this every weekend. No. A lot of us can though. I am concerned that not everyone can afford to. Sad. I wish not that everyone on the planet had the disposable resources as the average affluent American; I wish they had 10-20 times as much as the average affluent American. What a party!

        Anyhow go Bosnia!

Time magazine says we are guaranteed an El Niño and yet all the world climate models say there won’t be one this year. Then again Time magazine made Ben Bernanke man of the year. Morons.
