Looks like the market for Pika Parkas is going to be booming in the coming years. They’re cute, but little buggers have a heckuva time with the zippers, since their arms are so short.

I work at a golf course along the banks of the Green River, in Wyoming. Our last frosty morning of the “winter/spring” came on July 1. The first frost barely made it out of meteorological summer, occurring on September 1. At exactly 2 months for a growing season, I wonder if parts of Greenland did any better? It’s 33F and falling as of this writing, and we’re expecting temps to be in the mid-20s by the morning.

I am so glad we have global warming. Otherwise, think how much colder it would be!

  4. That’s probably a good thing. Long hot summers are dangerous.

Crime goes down as it cools. Lynchings in Fort Collins are way down. Old man Howe may not have gone to the tavern in 1888 if there was some early spring snow on the ground. He may not have killed his young wife when he got back home wasted. And the respectable citizens may not have had to pull him out of jail and hung him from the derrick at the courthouse.

Fort Collins: summer is August 13, from 2 to 3 PM.

Pika’s are in the order Lagomorpha, which includes the hares and rabbits. There are 30 species of pika (Ochotonidae). Now that we have global cooling I expect their numbers to rapidly increase and my eventually take over the world.

Yep, it’s the morning of 9/12/2014 and we’ve got nearly an inch of fresh white “climate change” on the lawns and cars.

Reminds me of the 1970s here
